Last thing we need is Dwill trying to be Melo. He needs to knock down his 3's and focus on developing as a defender/passer/rebounder.

Didn't say to be like Melo... SMH.. read! I said teach him a few things.... How does that translate to being like Melo? SMH

Robin Lopez: 4th team in 5 years, 16.26 PER last season
Arron Afflalo: 5th team in 5 years, 10.7 PER last season
Derrick Williams: 3rd team in 2 years, 12.89 PER last season

I smell Executive of the Year Award for Phil Jackson next year.....

I think I'll need to be after watching next year's top 3 pick go to Denver.... Because we traded for Melo.... who the Knicks subsequently resigned for 5 years at age 30.... because they presumably wanted to win now... and then they surrounded him with Lopez, Calderon, Derrick Williams, and Arron Afflalo... I guess it all goes full circle.... which is very zen like...

Calderon/Grant
Afflalo/Galloway
Anthony/Early
Williams/Porzingis
Lopez

That is our rotation right now. I fail to see another signing that will get a player of contribution. Jose being traded would be nice. Also, Williams needs to get minutes to play well enough to opt out of that 5 mill option in 16/17. Jason Smith with remaining 2.5 space or room exception and that's it. We need another big.

This is very funny and sad at the same time.

Let me just finish it by saying

"I don't think Kevin Durant is coming here next year".

Okay, okay, okay. I'm going to try to be optimistic. We all knew THJ was not bringing any assets back and Phil managed to get Grant for him. Maybe, just fu*king maybe, he can get a passable rotation player for Jose and Early/Thanasis

Derrick Williams is a lot like Josh Smith on offense.

He repeatedly throws up 3's even though he knows he can't make them?

Yep. And dunks. Josh Smith offense, Tim Hardaway Jr. defense. 5 mill per.

Totally... Except for Josh Smith having a career assist rate 4X what Derrick Williams' is. And an offensive board rate 1.5X that of Williams.

But you know... They are power forwards who jack stupid 3s so I guess they're a lot alike... :nonono:

I just don't see much risk involved, especially with the cap going up to around 90M next season.

They're in panic mode. A move like this was enough to set them off. They thought we were getting Tobias for $9M.

That boy just got 16 per year.

People on this board have no sense of how much a player will get paid.
