James Harden? Would love to see trader Danny with a #1 pick to play with. Can't imagine the idea here is keeping and developing all these Bkn picks..by the time they are ready AB, Jae and IT would probably be on the way down and Horford long gone..

Unfortunately, I just don't see any of Indy's, New Orleans' or Sacto's ownerships acquiescing to blowing it up.

The Pacers are diametrically opposed to tanking - they view their market as too small to risk tanking, lest the fans disappear. Plus it's just not in Bird's DNA. Maybe he goes in a star-for-star deal but otherwise, no.

The Pellies aren't trading Davis, period. He's locked up forever and they are already tanking by accident.

Sacto is closest to something here - Cousins will be a FA in 2018 and they have young guys to play behind him. Unfortunately Ranadive doesn't want to trade him right after opening a new arena. They're gonna make another futile playoff run and shoot themselves in the foot in the draft (again).

Harden definitely is not going anywhere. Morey isn't dumb enough to do that. They'll do whatver possible to run at Blake this offseason - no taxes, closer to home, national TV exposure, and he'd thrive in D'Antoni's offense as the Stoudemire role. Their cap situation makes that tricky but never put it past Morey to at least try, just like his mentor Ainge.

I agree with you unfortunately. A lot can change by the summer but right now I can't see any of those guys moving teams. I think if we can do a Cousins for top 3 pick swap straight up I'd go for it..more than that I'm not so sure. Our best bet is probably the 2018 pick if that's a top 3 we could probably be in play for a couple of big time guys. Speaking of Blake I'm pretty sure Boston is going tto try and get in with him also. We have a PF position with his name written all over it.

True. Anthony Davis is a legit unicorn though.

Is he? Davis/Towns/Zinger/Embiid are all studs.

Just as a basketball fan I hope those guys stay healthy and have awesome runs. I'd put Davis first by a bit and Kristaps a distant 4th in ranking them, but it's quite a wave of next-generation height!

I know I sound like a broken record but I put Giles squarely in this tier of big men. IMO he's that good

Too bad they are all in **** organizations that will probably not have a damn clue how to build decent teams around them.

Oh I've been on the Giles Bandwagon for a year now. Fingers crossed he gets back on the court soon and stays there.

That said him being a sub-7-footer has him in a slightly lower tier for me. I'm greedy though. I want him in 17 and Ayton in 18!

Embiid missed two years with his foot and hasn't missed a beat, ACL injuries at his age don't scare me at all. Medicine has come a long way in 20 years

It seems like only a matter of time until they trade Brook now. They'd be dumb as hell to keep trotting this team out there and not getting anything resembling a future out of it.

Man, is it a good thing we didn't panic and sell low on the pick or anything. Not that anyone here suggested anything like that.. :uhoh:

I secretly deep down hope we have asked about both, I think Booker & Bogs would be good coming off the bench.

There were people in this thread who thought the Nets weren't going to be as bad as they said, that's truly amazing.

When the Mavs get Dirk back and Sixers get Noel while unrestricting Embiid's minutes, they're going to get much better while all the Nets have to look forward too is getting back Lin. Those are the only two teams with a record currently worse than the Nets.
