We are not Kobe stans, we're evangelists and a lot of you starting to understand why.

RIP Kobe Bean Bryant, we'll never be the same again.

Nobody diminished his greatness. We all thought he was a legend. Believing he wasn't the greatest player to ever play doesn't mean he was diminished or that we didn't think he was great.

I can't imagine this being like the JFK assassination. I certainly wasn't around when that happened but man.

It is a truly shocking sports death though. The only thing I think it compares to is Roberto Clemente.

Man I'm crying at work. This Lakers tribute is sad. Hearing "Hallelujah" on the strings is something else.

The Kobester had one hell of a life... he had a way better life in 41 years then all of this board combined.
It's just surreal outside of a few things here and there he lived a near perfect life so it's still shocking he
died this way.

Beautiful tribute.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

People compare Kobe's death to Michael Jackson or Prince or Princess Diana but I think the impact of Kobe's passing is equivalent to John Lennon. Both were cultural icons who represented the best of their craft. Both were outspoken advocates of their life philosophy. Both were around 40 years old when they died. Both suddenly died due to reasons not of their making. Both were global icons.
