this guy has been floating around in the 2nd round on tankathon for 3 years now, not sure why he hasn't been able to enter the draft or raise his stock at all even in year 3. they have him on there at 53 now. will he even stay in the draft?
He got injured last year I believe. He’s healthy now.
Tankathon is ran by some random basketball fan. They’re always way off. DX has Bassey as the 25th best prospect in this draft
Two games over .500 and currently sitting 5th in the Eastern Conference, so I'm definitely thinking playoffs with this team right now. With Mitch out now though, there's definitely a whole in the middle again. They can attempt to mask it with Noel and Gibson, but we can definitely us another viable big man down low. With Drummond apparently headed to the Lakers (don't love his game and didn't like the fit here for us anyway) and Dieng apparently going to the Spurs, there's not a heck of lot more options out there for us... DeMarcus Cousins? I dunno.. Maybe the best option out there at the moment. Does he fit? Doesn't look to be the same player from a few years ago for sure, but at least he's still a big body and he can still shoot a little..Is he even fully healthy though? Houston cut him loose.. A little bit of a headcase too, no? Still believe Skal Labissere would be a good option. That dude is only 24, is tall, long and skilled. Also has prior NBA experience and some success. Unless anyone has anything better -- I think those might be our two best options right now: Cousins and Labissere. And with Cousins -- I'd only consider signing him for the rest of the year, then would have to re-evaluate and reassess. Something I didn't understand about possibly signing Drummond -- that's all I would've been willing to give him too. So why all the talk about him tying up cap room for next year? Did that have to do with some cap hold he would've had (which, admittedly, I don't understand)? Or was he looking for a deal for more than the rest of the year? let the lakers give him that, then... I want max cap room for next year and didn't want Drummond to chew into that..
But moving forward come draft time, yes, definitely feel like Charles Bassey should be in play with one of those two 1st round picks in the 20s, if he's there. If not, say he's gone by then, maybe we look at a guy like Kofi Cockburn at 32 perhaps..
Been saying it -- with our three top picks (two in the 20s and that pick around around 32. We still have this pick at 32, right?) -- I'd love Ayo Dosunmu, Corey Kispert and Bassey. Those would be three guys to plug in at all the right positions of need for us -- a legit lead guard (I know he didn't do much against Loyola to end Illinois' season, but I still believe after Cunningham and Suggs, this might be the best lead guard in the draft), a sniper in the Kyle Kover/Doug McDermott mold (maybe more, maybe something close to Wally Szczerbiak eventually?) and a tough/rugged big man that's strong, imposing, can rebound, defend the tin and even score a little (beside handling the dirty work, this dude is sneaky skilled -- he can operate in the post a little, convert lobs and is a very capable shooter in the mid range, maybe out to NBA 3 eventually), Another pick that I think works for us, esp. if we decide to not bring back Bullock and/or Burks, is this Travion Kinsey from Marshall. 6'5" SG, athletic, strong, physical, puts in on the floor, can go get his own shot and he can shoot. Not as polished or as graceful as Allan Houston was but there are elements to his game that remind me of H2O. They kind of play at the same speed, only this kid Kinsey is probably even more athletic and stronger than Allan was. Nbadraft.net has had us taking Kinsey in the 1st round for weeks now. i like the fit, esp. if a guy like Burks winds up being too rich for our blood to retain. I think Jerome Robinson on Washington could be a good option for us in FA for a SG that probably shouldn't cost as much as Burks too. I know he hasn't done much for the Wizards and has been relegated to the pine for much of the season but there's talent there with this dude. Looks like Ferguson was just waived but but maybe we bring him back on the cheap, as maybe a substitute for Bullock for next year.

I’m not sure if kofi gets drafted. While he is dominant in the paint, he is a pretty bad defender and he can’t shoot any free throws. It’s hard to see him having a role in the modern nba.
I agree with the Korver comparison to Kispert. That’s who he reminds me of, and should be a mid 20’s pick. But for some reason he seems to be lottery bound. I don’t see it.

I'm 100% sold on Cade, Mobley, Green being stars....not that we have a chance at any but I'm sure we'll be seeing them a lot as a few of the top 5 picks are bound to go to Eastern Conf. teams

The media has been saying Cade is the lock for going #1 but Mobley and Green both have legit shots depending on who makes that pick.

When its all said and done if everyone reaches their potential. I'm starting to think Jalen Green will eventually be the best player in this draft.

Davion Mitchell is reminiscent of another DMitch, even wears the same number....not sure who I like better...him or Butler.

Re: 2020-2021 College/Draft Thread 2
This Davion Mitchell kid is something else. He moves with such balance and his shoes have suction cups underneath them. He already has one weapon most NBA guards don't have and that is his ability to get to his left hand which he prefers so easily. If he gets you on the left side of the court one on one you're finished. He stock is surely rising right now. He doesn't make many mistakes and on defense he's like a **** octopus with 8 arms.
This draft man... haven't seen one this strong since 04.
Butler is smooth and poised but if you want to win some games get that Mitchell kid.
Also, Evan Mobley? lol... come on that kid's potential and skill is through the roof.. the NBA hasn't seen someone quite like that since Durant because Durant was 6'10 with ball handling skills and a wet J... well this kid is taller.
Some quality basketball in this tournament. All these teams left are really good and will give Gonzaga a run for their money starting with USC. Unless Fugh finally lets Suggs go ham they might not win the whole thing.

Anybody else really like this Nix kid from the Ignite team, with our 2nd rd pick. I just really like how he reads the game as a facilitator, I’ll admit that I haven’t really watched many of his games though.
