Very likely since I don't think Charlotte just wants to eat 7 million in this deal and they Heat don't need any unnecessary salary coming back . Probably looking for a third team to ship Bouknight too.

Send us some additional money like Ish Smith back, we have open roster spots and swapping Lowry for Rozier still gives us the problem of only having 1 PG on the roster

Although Washington may move Tyus, they have another expiring contract of D.Wright who could help strengthen the backcourt depth.

There's a lot of possibilities with a Lowry trade if Miami is giving up an asset or 2.

I refuse to get hyped up. I'm calling a spade a spade. The last 5 years this FO has shown us that they are just turtling until someone shows up at their door for a used stick of gum. I do not expect that to change. The only reason I somewhat see the Terry thing happening is because they are asking for a bag of peanuts. But even then.... I'd say it's sub 10% chance we land him. Lowry will expire. And Riley will release another press conference saying how much he loves this team.

Wright would be huge, I’d love that. Hes a great defender too

1. I've learned my Lesson with Dame. Rozier SHOULD be coming, but i'm not buying his jersey quite yet.

Lowry + 1 Pick if fair, it also save us a lot of money. I'd try to Dump Dru smith with cash on them too (need to extra spot)

2. IF Terry ever gets here, it should only be the first move. A follow up move for a starting 2 way PF HAS TO FOLLOW.

Jeremi Grant
PJ Washington (not a fan)
M. Bridges
Pistons Bojan Bogdanović
Kyle Kuzma
Even Kelly O

We need another legit starter, Terry isn't enough. Don't overpay, but get it done. We can rebuild on the fly and get a lot better.

What's different about these rumors with Rozier, it sounds like Lowry being shopped is being leaked. Maybe it's not being leaked to send Lowry to a different team other than Charolotte but maybe to get teams to call to see if they can get into the trade to move some smaller pieces.

Take advantage of Danny Ainges love for Herro. Herro for the better Sexton KO and a 1st, send a 2nd or Jovic if necessary.

Martin maybe needs to go out somewhere as well if we don’t plan on keeping him this summer

Rozier/Wright
Sexton/Duncan
Jimmy/JJJ
KO/Highsmith
Bam/Love

What a breath of fresh air having a PG able to do this would be around here...

I remember something similar last season too, it got pretty messy. I think Jimmy finally jumped in and said enough is enough. Hopefully they actually get it done this time.

I suspect Herro is seen by Miami's FO as their best trade piece they'll move for a high-level player, and they'll wait until this summer to move him. If you have both Herro and Rozier in the starting lineup they're going to cannibalize shots from each other like LaMelo does with Rozier now. Herro as 6th man would limit his future money and I think being a starter is very important to him and his financial future. I think they could get away with moving Herro to 6th man for half the season this year but he's not going to be good with being 6th man past this year.

Haven't had a point guard who could score like that, consistently since Wade played the position his rookie year. Before that it was Tim Hardaway and before that Steve Smith. Hadn't exactly been or strongest position, historically.

Well, we have enough picks to get both Murray AND Rozier it looks like. We really do.

Murray
Rozier
Jimmy
Bam

I'd trade Herro for a PF at this point.

Hornets play at 8 tonight, be interesting to see if Rozier is in the starting lineup and know just how close things really are atm.

They likely view him as the main building block in the future Mitchell sweepstakes for sure, I’m just over here wishful thinking

No. The whole idea of Bouknight going to a third team is for his salary to be absorbed by a team with cap space. It saves money for both the Heat and Hornets.

Return to Miami Heat
