Everyone stop overreacting! Yes the series is 2-0 to the Pacers but you need 4 wins to advance. The Knicks didn't play well, and still the game was extreme close until the end. A possession here a possession there goes another way and the Knicks could have won. This series is that close. Yes, it is disappointing to drop two at home, but the series is not over. The Knicks can still do it! But they need to obviously play better in future games. Mission is far from impossible.

I'd disagree. Pacers have Hali, Pascal, 3 point shooting center in Turner, Nesmith and Nembhard starting. Great backup pg in McConnell and whole bunch of talented and still developing young guys in Mathurin, Sheppard, Walker, Jackson.

Knicks have no depth or bench. They also limited their opportunities to better themselves with the awful and costly Mikal Bridges trade.

The Mikal trade was so excessive and redundant with OG already in the mix. I get they did it to stop Tatum and Brown, but it’s really coming back to haunt them in this series. They built their team to beat Boston and Boston only.

What chased Carlisle out of Dallas was Cuban's dysfunction, including his gambling analytics guy.

A part of Cuban's dysfunction was his coddling of Luka, who was already proving to be a brat and not committed to the defensive end. Easy to see how Luka would clash with Rick C.

Cuban's dysfunction was that he was an overgrown frat boy. That predated Luka.

Gambling guy had too much free rein, which interfered with Carlisle's authority and Luka got upset with how things were going.

All Cuban's fault. He enabled gambling guy.

Cuban also hired Nico, and Nico eventually iced him out. So Cuban got his in the end.

Update: Some of it was Carlisle's fault, too. I forgot a bit of the story.

This one is over, Pacers stole BOTH home games. The Wolves were expected to lose both the first two road games.

Also, this is the Knicks. Cursed franchise and can’t get the W when it matters. Utterly disappointing really because they have the tools to do it but just did not match the Pacers’ effort.

Knicks are 5-1 on the road this playoffs and 3-5 at home. Homecourt means absolutely nothing in this series.

They're right but who cares? Unless you feel the NBA shouldn't have teams in places like Indy/OKC you need to accept the finals will sometimes have them matchup and the ratings will suffer.

Anyone who is not going to watch the finals cause it has two small market teams in it is a Bum and not a true Hoops fan at all.

Do fans of other sports leagues do this? I feel like for 25 years in the NBA it has always been a salt fest whenever smaller markets got to the finals originating when the Spurs and Pistons were winning titles.

I am not if Detroit is a small market team tbh but I get your point.

I suspect a lot of these casuals are Lakers and more likely LeBron Stans bitter their hero is not playing in the big dance again (and gen z/younger generation fans to)
