At the end of this we can make a list of questions for the judges if people want.

I can't guarantee they will have the time to answer but if we put it all in a short list than they might.

Spoiler alert, I haven't gotten to my team's evaluation yet ...

Im not trying to be a dbag... but how on earth does your bulls squad have a 20 championship rating to my heat's 19... jennings and ferndandez in the backcourt?? i have the best 2 players of both teams on my team for crying out loud lol

No foul. Im not a huge fan of my team but I also don't think it is the second worst. I think you guys discredit the fact that it will play D. I know Randolph isnt great but he was a lot better down the stretch last year then you guys give him credit for. Also he has the help of Martin as a backup. Lets not forget also Jennings is only one year removed from being thought of as having a great future.

i see jennings, fernandez, and randolph as weak defenders... mainly ferndandez and randolph.. randolph can not guard 4's down low

i have to wonder if brian at first glance thought your randolph was zach

Maybe Brian thought that was Zach Randolph at PF?

How on earth does my ream get a 9 in that first rating? This guy must have serious hate for monta ellis. And that comment about al jefferson is not at all true anymore. His D is much imporoved over that last couple seasons.

I will NOT accept that score without a better explaination. Is time to do my 2k sim where my team has a unbias rating. Which also happens to be one of the highest of all our teams.

Heck tom gave me a 29. Thats a 20pt difference.

He knew which Randolph it was because he commented that I should have started K-Mart but understood why I would want to try to develop A-Randoolph. Jennings isn't a great defender either but Noah and Battier make up for some of the other bad D. Also K-Mart plays a lot of minutes the way I have it set up.

You will agree that this isn't the second worst team though right?

Its all good banter but we all did work pretty hard on our teams despite how critical or non critical we are of our own teams.

I have no problems with the judges using their own personal biases and opinions. That is why we have more than one judge. And this way we get a few independent takes on how are teams turned out.

I don't think anyone has to "justify" their opinions. They are opinions after all. I'm sure each of us has strong feelings about certain players. It guided our decisions in making our teams and likewise it will guide the judges.

Yeah, seriously guys. Stop complaining. I got a horrible rating from Brian too, but I'm not going to call him out, cry about it, and say he doesn't know basketball. It's a difference of opinion...no big deal. Just take the criticism and do better next time.

It's up for discussion. I just want to see if we can get the same (maybe even better) contributions we got this time around. We aren't definitely doing another one right away, but if everyone is up for it, I'm ready for another one.

Like I said a few pages back, we'll start simming on June 15th, if that is a good day for you. Sim a month at a time, post standings, injuries, and stats (points, rebounds, assists).

51X3RF4N has sent in his results. I now have basically the exact same score from all 3 judges. Its getting boring :)

We should first thank him for putting in the work before raising any questions.

BTW, 51X3RF4N had a novel scoring approach that resulted in several ties:
1. When judging championship contenders, I did a mock playoff starting in the 2nd round. I tried to think about who, in my opinion, would win a 7 game series. I gave my eventual champion 30 pts, my runner up 25 pts, my conference finalists who didn't win 20 pts, 2nd round teams 15 pts, first round teams 10 pts, and 5 pts for non-playoff teams. I'd love to know how other judges are handling it though.

For future category, I went with a simple 5 pts for teams that won't be contenders over the next 5 seasons, 10 for teams that will contend but will need retooling, and 15 for teams that will contend without major changes for the next 5 years.

For fit, I went with a breakdown of positional fits. So, if you have a PG-SG combo that works well, you automatically get 1 point. Same thing for SG-SF, SF-PF, PF-C. That's 4 total points. Then if all 5 were a good fit, I made it 5 points. I took subs into account as well, but mainly focused on starters.
