Poor guy. Now he will never lose the injury prone status bestowed upon him.

If he's walking in the walking boot and putting pressure on the foot then it shouldn't be too serious. I guess they're being extra cautious with Jonas and want the injury to heal faster using the boot. Training camp is just a week away.

Walking boots can be used for high ankle sprains.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Walking boots can be used:
1. to excuse Valboy from journalists,
2. to make him gain weight and stop exhausting himself at the gym,
3. to mislead other teams,
4. to bring excitement to one of my favorite forums, so that the haters could troll. :)
The guy clearly is too excited and is forgetting to use his brain, so it is good that the body reminds him to slow down and THINK. Otherwise he will be such a bust.

No wonders Raptors gave him a car as a present - the guy clearly has problems walking

Thanks... reposting a piece of it:

With training camp still a week away, prized Raptors prospect Jonas Valanciunas has injured his left foot.

While the team said a full update likely wouldn't be coming until Monday, Valanciunas does not appear to be seriously injured, though he was photographed in a walking boot outside the ACC this weekend.

Valanciunas, like most basketball players, has had minor ankle issues in the past and walking boots are known to speed up recovery from minor sprains and strains.

He was not using crutches and was putting weight on the foot, both positive signs.

Raptors rookie Jonas Valanciunas, the fifth pick in the 2010 draft who spent last season playing professionally in Lithuania, hurt his left ankle while working out on Saturday...

The Raptors are expected to release more details on Monday morning, and are hopeful the injury is not serious.

at least we still have amir beast johnson ed wet from midrange davis and aaron never starting against the heat gray.

but ya...we rly need bargs and jonas heathy. i like our big man depth because amir ed bargs or val can step up on any given night. and if they all play well we can control the minutes to reduce risk of injury.hopefully jonas is good for TC

Colangelo setting us up saying he's injured so that when he inevitably kinda sucks this season he'll have his excuses ready so he can be re-signed.

I played competitive football most my life. I had a badly sprained ankle the one time and they tossed me in a walking boot. It doesn't have to be for a break. I like them a hell of a lot more than crutches.

Its hard to trust the Raptors staffers on these issues. They always say 'minor' injury right away. Reggie Evans foot problem, Bargs calf. Wasnt Ed Davis situation a big mystery for a long time with no real timeline.

Until I see Val on the court I will be concerned.

Oh right, I forgot that the Toronto Raptors were built on a native burial ground.
