Worst draft in Raptors history.

Bruno can turn out to be Kevin Durant and this will still be a bad pick. I don't believe anyone would've drafted him at all this year. What a waste of a first round pick. At least trade down and get some assets.

Hopefully we are trading this pick to Phx for Ennis.

I am not pissed just wondering if he would have been their in the 2nd round, but my guess is no and the raps will trade their 2nd round pics. I have a lot of faith in Masai.

He's probably not even gonna come over next year, Masai is a genius

I'm not sure what to think. My concern is that we could have had him later just like with Ross.

While we're clearly all shocked, here's the complete list of former 20th overall picks. The odds are strongly against us anyway, so honestly who gives a ****?

Drake did his job. He convinced Masai to bring in Durant.

The Brazilian one.

that's silly, your body temperature is about 37 degree Celsius, consider blood is mostly water, you'd need to be 100 degree Celsius to boil, so your blood can't possibly boiling.

If you believe in player, there is no reason to try to get pretty, and gamble by waiting for 37 to pick him. Most players picked in the 20th do not make it beyond their rookie contracts. This is not the case of picking him in the lottery. I do not mind trying to hit a home-run here.

IMO he is better off practicing with NBA team to develop than playing in these inferior leagues. Anyone know if he is under contract in Brazil? Would love for him to play training camp and dump him in NBDL during the season.

I'm rather confused, but this pick is exactly what I wanted Masai to make. Reach for the high ceiling unknown guys. And by all means he looks good in the footage that's available of him, but the problem is there's so little of it available.

Hoping it all works out, sucks for him that he's coming in as a Raptor hated by the fanbase.

Anatomize wrote:There are plenty of highlights where he looks good, but we know nothing about the players he's facing. Looks like he has solid wingspan, 3 pt range, shot blocking skills, athletic, runs the floor, defensive presence. He looks a lot more to me like an Ibaka-type-project than a Durant though based on his grainy highlights.

I just don't understand drafting an unproven project on our team when we just made the playoffs, it doesn't make much sense. Especially this early in the draft. Unless you had some insider info that the Spurs/OKC are targeting this guy, you could easily nab him at 37.

It means you are buying into the fool's gold while Masai hasnt.

You know this how?

No *pundit* had Caboclo on their board. The board of actual real NBA GMs (not to be confused with teenaged 'RealGM' posters) was likely different. Clearly, at least one team had him on their board.
