He makes the easy dunk, it demoralized the Cavs and maybe they don't come down and score easily against a now set defense.

It changed the game right there

He blocked a Korver 3 after that play.

Baynes wasn't much good today but who was? Seems agenda-driven to single him out.

I think Tatum and Brown's box scores tonight were misleading. Lots of clumsy offensive possessions that ended with clunker dunk attempts, getting stripped or blocked, dumb fouls on defense. I'm not "mad" about it, its a lot to ask for players in their age 19 and age 20 seasons to lead you to ECF victories on the road. But piling on the role players tonight is unwarranted.

Baynes played pretty decent actually imho. The team was trash, he held his own.

Lebron is WAY beyond Brad in terms of bball smarts. Lebron has figured out our #1 defense. Lebron played bad.

Anyone who thinks game 5 will be like 1 and 2 should prepare. We can still win. But at this point, not looking great.

Also, to those mocking the fans that saying the Celtics are soft, come on. Brown got beat out by Korver. We are home court tough guys. Like it or not, thats what we are.

These guys arent mentally ready for home court Lebron. Tonight seemed promising cause Cleveland is bad...but we gotta be tougher.

Bad ball movement all game. Bad finishing around the rim. Ty Lou has out coached Brad in Cle. They have neutralized Al, and reminded the world that Brown is NOT yet an all star level player. Team has a lot of work to do for game 5. Lets get it done. We can still win.

But lets not be delusional. Lebron has PROVEN he can beat us by himself.

I just don’t understand why Stevens hasn’t called a quick timeout in any of the 2 games in Cleveland like most coaches would do. Is being down 15 worth more than using an early timeout or 2 in the first quarter? Like the team Stevens needs to do a better job himself on the road with a lot of things.

Id love to see Semi play huge minutes and just stay on James the whole game. Physically he is their best defender, no one on the team has feet as quick as him, guards included. Plays on his toes, short quick steps, super strong, good enough length...he's a perfect defender to put on James and he should be on him as much as humanly possible.

Stevens sucked tonight. We win this game with better defensive adjustments and rozier not getting isod by players a foot taller than him 10 times with relentless effort

PierceFan4ever wrote:Why does Rozier start in this series if they pick on him every time especially in the beginning of games? Smart needs to start instead even with his awful shooting at least he has better scorers to surround him. With Rozier it’s a mess communication wise and effort wise. Rozier never was an above average defender, he’s actually always been below average yet it seems like only the Cavs are aware of this in the playoffs so far.

Rozier has been an absolute animal during these playoffs. He was fantastic in the home games. Without him we go nowhere..not even past round 1. He deserves to start til the end of it all. He was actually the only one making shots tonight..defensively, this switch **** is killing him. It's awful. He guards Love, Thompson and LeBron more than he guards Hill and JR. Wtf.

I’ll give him a pass for home games to start but I can’t stand him on the road. The Cavs are abusing him to start the game on switches and Rozier is awful once he gets screened off because he quits. That’s something that Larkin is way better at fighting through screens. Rozier may have scored tonight but the way he was doing it wasn’t Celtics basketball. Bunch of iso chucks and he only made 6 while missing 9 shots. We let them score 68 points that first half. I would take a hard look at starting Smart in game 6 at least. Everyone on this team is different at home so we can be fine even with Rozier struggling on defense

Besides Tatum and Brown in a couple of games, this team has been trash as a whole on the road. Even Brad Stevens has had some putrid coaching performances. Cavaliers put up 110+ points on us twice. Team defense all around has been pathetic and the switching has killed us. Not sure where the need to single out Rozier comes from. It's a bad game plan that affects him the most..as the smallest, weakest guy on the court, it makes him an even easier target. Can't imagine us going with the same game plan if Isaiah was the PG..so why would we with Rozier?

Yeah I have to kinda agree with this. Stevens has been a bit shaky in these last two games. Rozier was getting pummeled, not entirely his fault.

There's literally nothing I fear about the Cavs, they suck on the road as much as the C's do they just have LeBron. We got this in 7.

What he really needs to do is stop biting on every pump fake at the other end. Today he cost us 3 or 4 great defensive possessions by jumping out of Ohio on some Love and TT pump fakes. Damn.

Defensively we were solid in Philly and Milwaukee is the offense that turns to **** on the road. In this series both have been terrible except for tonight’s second half.

Meh, I still believe we can win the series but my confidence level is way down now. We had a chance to put our foot on their throat and we failed both times.

Because I feel Cavs target rozier the most in the first quarter. It’s true everyone’s defense in general is bad but Rozier getting switched on easily to Lebron is a nightmare which is why I think if Boston pulls out a game 5 it’s worth testing to see how a lineup of smart instead of Rozier works in the first quarter particularly because that’s the quarter killing us the most by far. A lot has to do with Rozier being picked on by everyone.

When has this happened this series? He was a monster in Game 2 and they lost. He was a monster tonight and still needed Korver, Hill and Love to hit a bunch of big shots. He's not winning anything by himself.

He wins when he's great, which he always is, AND when his teammates step up.
