There was a time where a start like this would have me borderline depressed for a good 24hrs. Not anymore, though. If the team doesn’t care, why should I? If the owner and GM don’t care, why should I? And if the fans don’t care (ie: they still go to the games and financially back a bad product), then why the hell should I?
Really wish I could just stop caring altogether. But they’ll put together a streak here and there, probably make the playoffs or something and I’ll be right back on-board. Ugh.
I'll keep watching the games on TV, etc, but I will not buy any tickets or merchandise. Thats probably the best way I can show Teddy how much of a hot mess this is, without totally disconnecting (yet).
Same. Hell, that was what I did last year too (and last year wasn’t THAT much of a dumpsterfire). But there aren’t many Wiz fans like us out there. If the team is in DC, fans will show up. They will still buy merchandise and Ted will continue to “follow the plan”.
