Don’t care, he would make any team he was on significantly better. He’s been the best overall PG in the East over the last 7-8 years.

Stahp!

Even putting my bias aside, there is no way he was better then Kyrie a few of those years, or Wall, or Rose, or Kemba.

Overall. Yeah there are years where there were better PGs, but I wouldn’t take their best stretch over Lowry’s.

With that said, that last flop was disgusting.

Lowry is better than Kyrie and Kemba?

He's a good player but nah.
The best PG in the East who wasn't even the best PG on his own team in the NBA finals last year

This series will be a fun exploration. The Raptors are objectively better than this version of the Nets, part of the reason they have a far better record than ours. IMO, they are engineered to take down star-heavy, slow-paced systems. We are not either of those things. Also, their key players are at the 1 and 4, whereas our strengths are at the 2, 3 and 5 spots.

The likeliest outcome is that their defensive role-players choke the life out of our stars, turn us over and build their leads with transition 3's. It's imperative that our Big 3 play assertively, AND limit turnovers. That's a tall task. IF they can do that, finishing at the rim, interior passing and kicking out for open corner 3's (our newfound specialty, and their only defensive weakness!) can take down the reigning champions.

One thing for our coaches and players to watch for, the Raptors get SUPER floppy when things don't go their way. Kyle is the king of drawing charges, because he knows all the tricks to induce them. I have zero respect for that style of play, and I hope to see him pouting about not getting the whistle. On the other end, their shooters are masters at getting defenders to fill them while taking 3's. Our team is one of the more gullible, biting on shot fakes and putting out bodies in a shooter's airspace. We've got to play cohesive defense, close out and DO NOT FOUL. Know your role, none of our guys are the next Pippen so there's no reason for any of them to overreact here. I'm trusting Jacque to drop this into their heads. The series could literally hinge on disciplined perimeter defense.

Spicy P is the variable for which we have no answer. Rodi's defense has improved in Orlando, but I see him struggling to contain the All-star. If Pascal stays switched on, he can will his team to a series win no matter what we do. Fortunately for us, Siakam's only knock is that he struggles with consistent killer instinct. This could be his coming-out party as a superstar. If not, it's our window of opportunity.

I predict 4-2 Nets, and we won't even be the biggest upset in the Bubble. I'll dive into individual matchups more later. For now, GO NETS!!!!!!!

I never post on another board, but this is...

But what? You came over here to start ****?

Dude, you're playing against a team that lost 80% of its roster to injury and covid. big whoop.

Come back and visit us next season. I doubt you will.

Lowry and the craptors were Lebron's bitch until Kawhi showed up.

His clown-ass has rubbed off on the entire Raptors team I see.

yeah exactly. This isn't even surprising, take LeVert away on 9 out of 10 possessions via the trap and the team's offense is kaput. We are heavily overmatched against a championship club with elite defense.

Well I don't give them as much credit as you guys do. Are they well coached ... no doubt. Are they a good team... hell no.

They were the #2 seed in the east and you can make an argument that they are better than the Bucks.

C'mon man you know better they not legit by any means. Regular season has nothing to do come playoffs.

Ujiri pretty good at making mediocre teams that can get you 50 wins. Come playoffs they get exposed.
They struck gold with Kawhi, he is top three player and maybe best complete player right now. Well since they Craptors he bounced ( rightfully so ) and don't regret that at all.
D.Will could've went to Dallas who had way better chance to win chip than we did. What did he do? Ok than.

Lol I guess I think a lot higher of Lowry than y’all do. That’s fine, and this isn’t the time clearly for me to spout my Lowry fandom, I’ll shut the **** up.

Yeah, I despise Lowry but they're pretty legit. I still see no world where you can call them better than the Bucks this season though.

I think they'll have trouble and probably ultimately be beat by Boston and Miami as well.

Lol, all good man, I just think it's crazy. I hate Lowry but can admit he's a very good player, but he's become INSANELY overrated since the chip. This guy is normally a playoff choke artist and although he's always been very good, posts like yours remind me how much I feel people have major recency bias.

We'll see how that goes in second round. They beating up on Caris, Joe and who the hell rest of that trash if we being honest here. I see C's in five, and you know I hate them.

Yea 22 points isn't horrible with the way things started out. Cut it down to 10-12 in the 3rd and hopefully we can get hot from 3 in the 4th. Still a very small chance but we will fight

The only time we looked respectable on the floor in that half was when we had 5 shooters on the floor with TLC and Kurucs at 4 and 5. That might be the best way going forward too in this series as it gives us a chance to swing the ball offensively well, and it also gives Levert the dribble penetration space that he needs. We'll be bad defensively and struggle on the boards, but that has happened with Allen in anyways.

If player is good there is no way you can hide that. Lowry is good, but he ain't what Craptors fans making him out to be. Neither is Kemba. Both not worth 30+, and yes I know howarket works.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
