Not sure about clutch shooting, but OKC had the best 5 man lineup (min 20 games) in the NBA.

Good hire.

We need an experienced coach to guide a young team with no identify and direction. It removes a certain level of uncertainty in the organisation.

I'm definitely smelling what the new front office is cooking. The light is slowly appearing at the end of the tunnel.

It wasn't rebuilding that was the issue. OKC wants to tear everything down and tank. That was the goal to start the year, they hoped to flip CP3 for some draft picks and then let the young guys play.

Problem is, the young guys wanted to win and so did CP3 so it screwed up their plans.

They're trying to get high in the draft and land another top combo. OKC is not a FA destination so they will have to build up their roster through the draft and the picks they acquired for Westbrook and PG13 won't be high enough to accomplish that.

I don't really understand this. I kind of expected Unseld or the guy from Philly, but this came out of nowhere.

That being said, he's not Jim Boylen, and that's a solid enough start.

I've never really entertained the idea of bringing Bradley Beal here, but now it's something worth discussing. I don't think he's $11m better than Zach LaVine, but I think salary fillers + the 4th pick is a pretty damn fair trade in this draft. I don't necessarily love the LaVine/Beal fit considering neither is really a PG or SF, but maybe this is a scenario where we acquire talent and figure the rest out later.

Idk. Doesn't seem like a bad coach but I don't think he's very good. After missing on 2 straight 1st timers, I don't blame the organization for going with Billy.

An obvious upgrade over Boylen though so I'm still excited for next season.

See, what you not gonna do is get me excited, thinking about the possibilities. I'm a Bulls fan. I can only handle great news in stages. I'm not conditioned for all of this bright eyed optimism.

CP3's contract is semi prohibitive for most teams so I doubt it'd be more than a couple of 2nd rounders.
