I'm going to take the same approach since I know nothing about this draft class. The only thing I'm hoping for is a Guard or SF though. Please no more bigs.

So far, 250+ started games. A career 36.6% long-ball. There is a lot to like about McLemore. And at #15, if the Magic draft a player that has his stat lines, then this will have been a value pick.

..

Mclemore is plenty useful, but we could have signed him last offseason. $2M non-guaranteed. We definitely need someone like Mclemore or Nesmith, but they are out there, and on the cheap.

Who would you say is a good player comparison for this guy?

I'm in love and some lucky team is gonna get him. I did not know there was JUCO talent like THIS. Why would you NOT want him?

Ricky Davis maybe? It's hard to tell. All I've seen is highlight videos and it's basically nothing but him taking shots or dunking. You can't really glean a whole lot from that.

There is always talent in the jucos. Some guys simply can't qualify for a four-year school.

That's a cool comparison. I know what you mean, it's kind of the same difficulty in judging a player like Pokusevski. Level of competition is tough to judge, but doing the eye test and seeing what the capabilities are and could be are so intriguing.

Scrubb has amazing ability in attacking the rim and finishing through traffic or draws FTs (7 per game). He creates space for his own shot. Plays above the rim. Handle is tight, can go anywhere he wants on the floor. Shot is wet. 40% 3PT on 4 3PTA/GM, 80% FT. 6'6 with a 6'9 WS. I really want to find a way to get him and develop him.

The only sharp-shooter Orlando has been able to ink is Ross; and he weren't Cheap.

Calling Ross a sharpshooter is putting it nicely. Dude is a shot jacker who makes a few but it flows in our elementary offense.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Dropped a podcast episode where there are more details:
https://open.spotify.com/episode/02aJRAMWrBWuYeY9siLoKY?si=JsWk47wnSHa3YtbgKA5VOw
But this is my board:

1. Aaron Nesmith (he’s my guy, but I’m afraid he’ll be gone by pick 12)
2. Killian Hayes (he’ll be gone by pick 10)
3. RJ Hampton (he has the best ‘star’ potential in our range and could be deadly playing off of Fultz; his shooting is better than what he shot in the NBL)
4. Tyrell Terry (super smart, not afraid to shoot it, height is a worry)
5. Saddiq Bey (might not be athletic enough to even be an SF, he had a huge strength advantage in college)

This draft is crazy. Your board outside Hayes is consisting of players i hope will be selected before us. Knowing Weltman he will suprise all of us.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

nba drafts are always wild.
There are times when i expect logical draft order- and everything opposite happends
And there are drafts like 2017 where i prediceted wild draft and NOTHING wild happend

What do you guys think about Cassius Winston for second round pick?
4 years at college, good playmaker, should be great shooter (43% for 3 on 630 attemps) great FT shooter ( 85%).

At age of 22-23 this isn't upside but walk in- play backup from day one guard?

My guess is the promise is from Miami. Terry and Herro will make the Heat be the Golden St Warriors of the East.

I'm waiting for this draft to happen already. I would normally say I'm excited, but I just can't bring myself to be excited about it knowing that we'll just make our pick than look to FA for some cheap backups.

Maybe if I keep bitching about the fact that we won't make any moves, they'd make a move just to spite me. Because I'd rather hear the "I told you so's" from this board then go through another year of essentially the same lineup minus Ennis.
