I don't think he'll go undrafted. He'll probably be a mid second round pick.
I'd gladly take him with the 33th overall pick.
This draft is very weak. It's very similar to the 2020 NBA draft (a couple strong prospects at the very top then a huge talent drop off). This will be a good draft to obtain some quality role players. A role player that is ready to step in and contribute at the NBA level is exactly what the Raptors need right now given their lackluster bench and lack of guard play. Andrew Nembhard fills that void and definitely checks off all the boxes.
Joel Ayayi went undrafted so I can easily see how Nembhard goes undrafted, especially with 2 draft spots in the 2nd round vacated.
Also considering how underwhelming Jalen Suggs is playing, drafting a Gonzaga guard isn't a hot commodity.
I think he'd be a good pickup to fight for backup PG mins.

I couldn't find him in some mock draft sites. Is it cause he literally can't do anything else but shoot 3's?
I think many mocks don't list him because most had assume (and some still do) that he'd go back for one more year. If he does, I can see him having a really big year and going in the lottery. You just don't see 7'1 ppl move like him very often. FSU would even have him pressure point guards on occasion like they did with Scottie, and he did a more than decent job staying in front. That's rare. The fact that he's more than likely going to be a solid shooter is just gravy IMO.

Where do I sign the petition to draft John Butler? He just has to say WIN, WINNER, WINNING minimum 100 times in the interview with Raptors and he's a lock. (Per Masai's end of season interview.)

Masai basically copied Leonard Hamilton's blueprint.
We basically like all of their NBA prospects. All with length, wingspan and fluidity.

Considering that the Raptors viewed that they could get a player they want even 13 spots down, I'd be looking at players projected from pick 20 down to 45.

Patrick Baldwin Jr.
Caleb Houstan
J.D. Davison
Yannick Nzosa
But I don't think they have anyone in particular, as draft combine usually move a few up and down.

I have this guy no.1 sleeper prospect in my draft board ahead of Jalen Duren and Sharon Sharpe in terms of true raw potential, he's just as talented as Banchero, Holmgren and Smith but younger, excellent mechanics, fluid and smooth athlete in fact he reminds me a lot of 7'1 version of Boucher with better handles and shot, there's no need for this kid to go back to school, he has superior attributes and a game that can translate well in the NBA right from the start.

The fact that he was so bad this season makes no sense to me. Kids with this skillset should dominate.Syd-TK3 wrote:

He was straight up horrible this year, 32/22/68 shooting splits. He should be going back to school, not entering the draft.

If Duren is still on the board when the Kings pick is up, I wonder if GTJ plus something small is enough to get it done. Duren is the perfect 5 for this team with a lot of untapped potential.
I don’t think Gary and a prospect is enough for that pick. Also I don’t think we take Duren even if we get the pick.
Edit: I think maybe if we offered them a future 1st or two with Gary? I think that’s what you’re suggesting right? They might do it, very unlikely.
Not sure I would offer much more than Gary... Malachi and/or a 2nd rounder. Doesn't seem like Sac is looking to rebuild, so trading for a solid young player in a relatively week draft may work (think Indiana trading the kawhi pick for George hill). If not, I'd be perfectly fine keeping Gary
THIS SCREAMS TRADE UP FOR SHAEDON SHARPE IF HE'S STILL ON THE BOARD!
you get a chance at an explosive future homegrown star guard/wing to pair with Scottie, it's a match made in heaven!
I'm convinced Sharpe will be a star, this would be the perfect opportunity to get the star guard/wing shot creator we need that is impossible to acquire!
GTJ + 1st rounders, heck I'd even include some type of FVV package to make this happen!
If Sharpe is still on the board and the pick is even plausibly available, you go all out to make that happen!

Shaedon’s journey as a Canadian who went from being a total unknown to literally the number one high school prospect in America is truly special. It’s like a movie, something most of us probably fantasized about during our high school playing days.

I hope wherever he goes he has a nice career. Maybe one day he plays for us. Bummer we aren’t in a position to draft him.

They always seem to have a couple of slower, massive 5s though. We just like same forwards I think.
Where's the D?

If we draft a 5, masai is only going after a guy with a great length, high motor and solid defensively.
That's our scouting foundation normally. We then develop their offensive games

at 6'11" with 7'5" wingspan, and a great rim protecter, Jalen Duren would have been nice at 20.
If he is somehow still there when SA picks thats a bummer.
He's got zero offensive game but Raps could mold him well. Penny is similar to Leonard in a way.

He's consistently mocked on the lottery, some Top 10, what makes you think Duren would be around at 20?
I don't really think there's any chance that Duren would be on the board at 20, and I have been pretty critical of his offensive upside. I would be pretty surprised if he fell out of the lottery even still.
