The Bucks essentially ran an 8 man rotation that year that didn't include Donte or Bryn Forbes really. Not in any significant role at least.

That Bucks team was a lot more sound defensively. The NBA around the Bucks has also changed since then. Take the optimistic view, I'm not stopping you but we're living on a prayer if this is the extent of our off-season.
