Hah, way to flop on that one Corey. I doubt either of those guys will be closing next year. I guess that wasn't as bad as the Chad Cordero pick though.

Wikipedia on Jon's third closer: "Cordero will miss the rest of the 2008 season and will undergo surgery to repair a labrum tear. His expected recovery time is 12-18 months, meaning he may miss the majority - if not all - of the 2009 season. Despite his success, Chad Cordero "will not be back with the team next year because of a conflict with general manager Jim Bowden and will look for employment elsewhere."

Even if Cordero is injured, it is not all that bad because I can stick him on IR and still have a spot. Given there was someone else that could have been a better pick but I guess that quality of that pick will be determined when he comes back. If he comes back and dominates then it will be worth taking the bashing now
