With the 11th pick in the 2009 SUMMER FUN Fantasy Draft Contest... the team of Chabber and Walt Cronkite select...

Image

CARLOS BOOZER a European PF born in Aschaffenburg, West Germany.

Carlos provides the team with a dominant big man capable of scoring with an vast array of moves in the low post or from midrange. He is also an excellent rebounder. Slot him in as a Euro, for now.

Countryboi is on the clock.

I'm a little dubious about Boozer-as-Euro. He was born on a military base, he was automatically an american citizen from birth, much like John McCain. Is Raja Bell not an American?

If he was born on a military base then aren't military bases classed as US soil regardless of where in the world they area. I know the US Embassy here in Australia had soil shipped from the US and it's technically and legally US soil.

Either way, not to fussed.... I'd give it to them. Boozer was born in Germany, and his birth certificates legalizes it. It's little twists like this that make this so interesting.

Pity there isn't a cat for a player that is money hungry, goes back on his word, is often injured, plays crappy D, often smacks his gum and chews like a ruminant animal and has a skin problem.

THEN there would be no problems.

As his new spokesperson, I will address these ridiculous allegations.

Money hungry is good...in a contract year. The Walt Chabbcats(?we're still working on this, I got nothin) expect to see a fully healthy and WELL motivated Carlos in 2009-10.

Goes back on his word, schmerd. So a guy rips off a blind guy and he's some sort of villainous figure? Carlos may be European by birth, but this just shows he's an American at heart. In the words of Ray Liotta in Goodfellas "**** you, pay me".

Only resting (in order to have this monster season)

Crappy D-- alright, I'll concede this one. One player does not a team make... and I promise all of our fans that with Chabber and I at the helm, team defense will not be in short supply.

It's hard to have clean skin when you have to do as much heavy lifting as Carlos. It's not like we drafted Sam Young, though.
