Wall is just godly on the fastbreak

lol cousins just made a three after the play

Tennesse hit some clutch shots, played a good game. Kentucky's lack of outside shooting is gonna kill them in the tournament.
Catchall:The Bucks traded him for Monta Ellis and did well in that trade. If they can move Biedrins and Jefferson without losing much more than Barnes and another pick, I will be genuinely impressed.Iguodala is a short-sighted contract. Overrated player.

John Wall is going to get some GM fired.

Cousins certainly looks like he will be a good pro, but I can't say I'm seeing David Robinson, or Patrick Ewing or Moses Malone when I watch him play. Have young drafts just lowered the bar for NCAA bigs that much?

uh huh.

Bigs especially need fundamentals and a lot of NBA teams are not prepared to teach the core stuff...yet draft guys on "upside" anyhow. With so many teams doing Hope and a Prayer.....these freshmen and Sophs hear that they CAN go lotto asap, get the $,or stay in school and risk dropping.

The result is that most of the talent goes while unripe, leaving a few "overachievers" who probably go late but may turn the extra skills into a good early career as a pro,if not a high ceiling.
CENSORED... No comment.

Shelden Williams still sucks. So does Ike.

You have to take upside guys. You just have to take THE GOOD upside guy.

Uh huh...and there's a bunch of "upside" specials....Robert Swift,POB,Sene,Petro,Bayless,Shawne Williams,Sean Williams,Corey Brewer,Julian Wright,etc. Think Fran Vasquez will tear it up someday?

Anyone still figure Marvin Williams is a for sure All Star? How about McCants?

The difference is you only need one kevin garnett to turn your franchise around. Having 10 nick collisons is useless, you can get that anywhere.

Mentioned this a few weeks ago Rem. We really need a real big guy who can man up his guy. But I agree that the help D is weak.

But if you pair him with Andris, Turiaf, Randolph, or Wright....Help D is their strength.

The rebounding will be off the charts with Cousins and any of those bigs beside him. He is the guy we've been missing to score in the post, and also to body up the huge guys in the league.

Love his outlets as well.

The good thing about our situation is that he could win a starting spot right away, or we could ease him in.

I'm knicknaming him "Missing Link" from now on. Or "Link" for short.

I see Cousins as a big PF.

Just put help defendeing shot blockers next to him and he'll be fine.

The real question will be to see how seriously he takes conditioning prior to the draft. Blair proved the scouts were wrong by chiseling his body pre draft. Cousins needs to do as much as he can before those camps start.

Cousins flips out on every posession unless he touches the ball...just wait till he signs a multi-million dollar contract...lol

and Wall and the Chose One won't work...the Chosen One is a top 3 NBA talent and a HOF PG...

having said that, Wall's going to be the most saught after #1 pick since LeBron so if the W's get the pick, they're going to rape some team...Nellie knows exactly what he's doing...

It's that college 2-3 zone crap Sid. We won't see that in the NBA.

But I have no problem with either.

1- Cousins
2- Turner
3- Wall
4- Monroe
5- Wes Johnson
6- Favors
7- Aminu

Second rounder to keep an eye on .....Demetri McCamey from Illinois. 6'3" PG with 7 assists per plus .490 FG%.

Also like Scottie Reynolds in the 2nd round. The guys tough as ess and would be a great back-up to Steph.

Wes Johnson ? I just dont see how he helps us..He's a SF stick who can't put the ball on the floor to save his life..Just a horrible fit with Randolph or Wright.

He's not a stick. He's got some beef on those shoulders. Look again. And he's a pretty good defender.

Aminu has all-star talent but is lazy and un-interested...Aminu's talent > Henry, but I'd take Henry over him any day because at least he tries...

Even as the greatest draft eye of all time, I only bat 75%

You should be banned for life from these draft threads for your takes in recent years..

Highlights =

Steph Curry isnt worth a 1st round pick

Michael Beasley will be the greatest PF who ever lived

Yi Jianlian is the greatest physical speciman in the history of the draft

Al Thornton is the perfect NBA PF

Tyrus Thomas will be better than Karl Malone

John Wall will be a top3 NBA talent in the history of the league

I can go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on..but I'll give it a rest.

Return to Golden State Warriors
