Yeah that deal is pretty terrible. :lol:

Two guys that don't get much burn with their current team are Alec Burks and Marshon Brooks. Even old man Jerry Stackhouse seems to be ahead of him in the rotation. We need to get one of these guys, Burks might be the more realistic target here since Brooklyn probably wants some win now pieces for Brooks and I wouldn't give up Dudley for him.

3 way, PHO-SAC-BOS (yes, linked trade isn't great but a bit of a draft)

I think we should really go after the combo of Tyreke and Thompson. Both good defenders and would have a clean slate to prove themselves away from all the talent in Sacramento. Evans can defend both wings spots and can be developed as a 2 guard. Of course draft picks would need to be given up (Lakers to Boston?) but we have a surplus of them for a team in no-mans-land.

We simply can get that Boston package for Gortat and go after Evans in the offseason.

Evans and Dragic is a disaster waiting to happen.

Tyreke Evans is not a good player without the ball in his hands. You really want him taking the ball out of Goran's hands?

Why though ?

Bass is redundant with Morris.... undersized PF and perennial bencher. Avery, an undersized SG, might be the only significant contributor, and he's still a question mark.. . And Melo is ... nothing. Their draft pick can't be all that valuable.... unless it is an unprotected 2015.

I'd like to think TheG is worth more, however.... go through the league's rosters. Most teams surprisingly have adequate centers.... enough to marginalize the upgrade to theGORTAT. He wouldn't start for most of them. Outside of Boston, Sac to some degree, and may be Milw... who really needs him ? Then think what will they give up ?

I'd pass on a Boston swap, and what few other realistic ones I've seen......hold out till draft day... Lets just hope theG can keep his piehole shut and not devalue himself with grumbly trade talking.

I don't think he can be traded until the season is over. Some weird thing b/c he's an amnesty guy.

That's what I was talking about. After his deadline to be traded is over (Amnesty Rule), then we'll probably trade him.

Dragic, Gortat, Dudley probably still has positive value but its dwindling... Morris wouldnt be a negative in a trade but he certainly wouldnt command much value on his own, same with Marshall... thats about it. Maybe Jermaine O'Neal if he continues his current play AND stays healthy (doubtful) could net a very late 1st from a contender.

But Goran and Gortat are the only 2 I could see netting a worthwhile return.

And I think we're going to be stuck with Scola, even with him only making 4.5 mil a year. He has been in a rapid decline for the last few seasons, and he is horrific defensively.

Scola in rapid decline? Absolutely no evidence of that at all. He is a steal at his price, and probably our second best Bball IQ on the team.

He is 32, had the worst year since his rookie season last year and his stats are dipping further this year, and he is absolutely dreadful defensively. He is a scarecrow down there. Yes, I think Scola is undoubtedly in decline.

Next year at 33 and with an even further dip in stats that you have to assume is coming with him losing the starting job... yeah, I dont think he will have any discernible trade value.

WS: 6.5, 8.6, 6.3, 5.5, 3.4
WS/48: .154, .165, .114, .110, .080
eFG: .515, .531, .514, .504, .491
reb%: 19.3, 23.4, 32.6, 21.6, 17.3

That doesn't mean that he wasn't an amnesty steal, of course.

It just means that he's getting worse, not better. Makes sense for a 32 year old power forward. Most big men in the NBA spoil like milk once they're 30.

Well I guess anyone can cherry pick a few stats. However, he is much better in both FT% and 3 point %, his steals are almost double of last season, blocks are up, turnovers are down, as are personal fouls. All while his minutes are down. Sure doesn't sound like a guy in "rapid decline" to me. Also his usage is down.

Then when you look at his starting stats, he is 14.5/8.1. "Rapid decline"? :lol:

I don't see why it would be his fault that the dumb coach took the wrong guy out of the starting lineup. :wink:

But many of his stats aren't declining this season. He is still one of the top IQ guys on our team, and plays with heart. His starting stats crush Beasley's, yet our genius coach keeps Beas in, and demotes Scola. :lol:

I have no disagreement with your opinion.

It's your opinion. For less than $5 million, he is worth his money, even if some of his stats (3-4 out of 12) are slowly declining with age.

And didn't you include this year in your stats to show this "rapid decline", but I can't? :lol:
