30 seconds of Google research tells you all you need to know about how much of a loser Peter Vecsey has become. He might have been an insider back in the day, but he couldn't break a story about the sun rising if his life depended on it, anymore.

Vecsey is just bitter he's not on TV anymore... he's notorious for being a ****.

This.

If I remember correctly, he was one of the first to break the story of Brian Hill being fired(1st time) on NBA on NBC Post Game.

Smith had chance to dump toxic waste on Nets last year but delayed. Hennigan might've been able to dump Hedo b4 JJ get. No more

-Vecsey

This guy really going off right now.

RH should've stalled Nets, lied, whatever it took to keep trade possibility open. To let it all but vanish was worst kind of rookie mistake!

This is why u hire experience exec. You'd think Magic would've learned lesson when they hired GST community relations dope Otis Smith as GM

Apparently RH thought Nets were bluffing about re other trades--acquiring JJ--which ate up most assets. Found out options aren't plural.

Haha... oh no we can't trade with Nets! Does he think we give a **** that Dwight doesn't get his dream destination. We'll ship him wherever we get the best deal. Brooklyn ain't got **** to offer. And if anyone remembers Vecsey from his TV days, he was a scumbag then and a scumbag now.

scotch scotch scotch.

Peter Vecsey (born 1943) is an American sports columnist and analyst, specializing in basketball. In his childhood, he attended academic and athletic powerhouse Archbishop Molloy High School, in Queens, NY, and graduated in 1961.[1] Vecsey currently writes a column on the NBA for the New York Post. He was formerly an analyst for TBS and NBC and is currently an analyst for NBA TV. His nickname is "The Viper" and is known for his cynical, sarcastic style and a former member of the Airborne and Special Forces.[2][3]

Vecsey's column in the New York Post frequently details behind the scenes trade maneuvers as well as spotlighting many rumors in the NBA.

hey, just trying to get away form the BS on the GB - offers from the Nets, Clippers (sans Griffin) etc., lol.

what's the best case scenario for you guys right now? take Bynum and unload some contracts, or take a, slightly weaker, rental offer - a la Houston - full of projects and picks, but with likely little cap relief?

Don't want to speak for everyone, but seems like anything but a deal for NJs "assets".

Opinion: Al Horford/Jeff Teague/1st Round Pick for Dwight Howard/Chris Duhon

Do you take it?

yeah, i'm assuming that no one wants to make a deal w/ NJ. that's a terrible offer. Houston's rental is exponentially better.

personally, i think if/when they come out and say they'll be selling to the highest bidder, you guys might get from pretty enticing rental offers. but i'm still not sure that any will be better than Bynum + cap relief.

edit: i don;t think Bynum alone is good enough for 30+ wins. you'll still be right in the thick of the lottery (which is a good thing)

I respect him for being in the military, but, he's clearly biased being from New York and all.

We most likely won't need a new thread until tomorrow, but it's cool with me. I need some cool NBA pictures to put in the OP though.
