Its about time Jefferson begins to get some consideration for some MVP votes.

Al Jefferson has been good, but not Kevin Durant/LeBron James good. I believe he should get some consideration on the All-NBA teams though

Agree....but he won't because

1-He plays for CHA
2-Wasn't an All-Star
3-He always get snubbed
4-He plays for CHA
5-Team has losing record

Of course he hasn't been Lebron/Durant good, which is why I said he should get some votes, not come close to win it.

MVP isn't "the best player" award or "the best season" award its the most VALUABLE player award....im pretty sure MIA would do fine without LBJ and OKC would still be decent without KD....without Al we might be worse than Orlando

I'm under the synopsis that if he receive any votes that somebody that votes him has to believe that he's been as good or vital as LeBron/Durant. I may be wrong, but I don't think there's any 1st/2nd/3rd options on MVP voting, just 1st

Think they still do it something like this. http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/05/12 ... down-here/

In that case, I believe he will receive a few votes. I find that odd that they vote that way on a award that only one individual player can receive

I just spent 30 minutes of my life rereading the first 30 pages of this thread, and boy do some of you need to eat some crow. Wow.

Going back and rereading, I still think the main objection to signing Al was the legitimate debate over whether doing so was the right move given management's professed "rebuilding" status and the timing of a potential top 5 pick in what was supposed to be a historically great 2014 draft. So, do you spend the big bucks to take yourself out of the race for a top 5 pick? Even with Al suddenly morphing into an All-Time Great, be prepared for the debate to get louder if our first pick this year turns out to be POR's at 24.

In the past couple weeks, Al's FG% for the season has jumper roughly 1%. That 1% turns this season from his WORST FG% season to his THIRD BEST. That consistency throughout his career is absolutely staggering.

That's why it's difficult for me to find logic in how a player like David Lee has 2 All-Star appearances while Al Jefferson has none. Lee is by far a worst defender than Jefferson. The marred perception cast over Jefferson's head is almost shameful

because Lee plays more a more glamorous team, i bet if you ask 100 people including non-Bobcat fans and "experts" i bet 75 of them say Lee is better

I understand that from a casual fan's point of view, but the coaches usually vote in the All-Star reserves. I even found it disrespectful that Millsap was voted into the All-Star Game over Jefferson this season. It's as if they take wins & losses into account only when it's convenient to their leniency

has better stats that he does
