Grant bags on every player who leaves. He is hardly a credible source.

Ok...wow what a steal for Sac! Essentially cash and a future 2nd rounder for a guy who could have started for the Kings next year and was said to be the most influential voice in the locker room.

Why trade Temple in the first place? Is the point to give Justin Jackson more minutes? Were they that floored by him in summer league? The move more than anything was a courtesy to Temple which shouldn't excite any kings fan.

Him potentially starting is the main reason I'm OK with this deal. It gives Dave Joerger one less option to fall back on and continue the snails pace to improvement. Any of the veterans being a part of of the rotation next year is a ridiculous notion with where the Kings are at currently.

Which could mean the FO and coaching staff aren’t on the same page.
I’m all for Vlade trading all of the vets that believe they should be on the court this season unless there are injuries.
Sign VC to another 1 year coaching type contract, he was great at it and he doesn’t complain about minutes.

Say what? The tweet was james ham and was reposted on Grant's twitter. Grant had nothing but amazing things to say about Temple and how the team will miss him. not sure what you are talking about.

Grant spent his whole show reiterating how losing Temple would have no impact on the Kings.

I find it really hard to trust anything Grant says about the Kings. If I am being cynical, I would say he is the PR machine for the Kings org and will say anything that makes them look better. If I am being realistic, he is just too entwined with the team and he will believe what is being fed to him from the organization.

Because hes right? It won't impact us. We are talking about Garrett Temple FFS, get a grip man. This isn't us losing Demarcus Cousins, its Garrett Temple. A journey man, 32 year old with a 10per and a -1.9BPM.

Give me a break as if this is the sky falling down or some ****. This means more minutes for Bogdan and Buddy. 2 guys who should be getting 35mpg but because Temple was soaking up 25 himself, they didn't get the minutes they deserved. I'm stoked as this is just 1 less veteran for Joerger to put in front of them.

Shumpert is literally the exact same player just 4 years younger and more athletic.

Grant loves high character guys like Temple. "GT wasn't going to play much this season. Kings did him a favor. He will help Memphis. Kings did not get better today but they did not get worse either...IMO"

Now when we traded Cousins you could tell he was happy. Grant hated Cousins.

Why is everyone so anti capela if we can unload WCS? He’s a huge upgrade for this team.

It’s kinda like rearranging deck chairs, but you just found out the one of the deck chairs is really comfortable but still ugly. If we sign Capela, it will be really expensive and it will add to our post glut. Instead of doing that, we should be looking for a freaking 3 who can guard the perimeter. That’s what is so damn frustrating!

In some ways. If I were someone with any pull with the Rockets I'd be all over them trying to find a sign and trade for Willie. Can you imagine what D'Antoni would do with Willie? You'd finally see that jumper, the switch defensive ability, and the ditching of the post game nonsense.

No one is saying the sky is falling so stop the hyperbole. It is important we show the team is turning the corner. We have a clear hole at both the 3 and back up point. Temple could help fill the gap.

Don’t want any Bjelica stuff to get in the way of a Capela pursuit

Lol we are not pursuing Capela, my man. I know you really, really want him for some reason but there is literally 0% chance he'll be wearing a Kings uniform probably ever.

Bjelica would be a good get for us but we really have to move a big. I can't see us going into the year with the glut of bigs we have currently so I would expect a move sometime this week.

He doesn't make his teammates better on the court, nor does he improve our team. I love Temple as a good locker room guy, but playing him any minutes just confuses the situation even further.

Id love to sign him. If you look at the lineups Minnesota ran, he was in the 2nd most minutes played lineup. And he did that at SF.

Either way he gives us a stretch 4 who can also play the 3.

Then we should pursue trading one of Skal or WCS for Winslow or Oubre. Possibly the other one for Delon Wright.

Giles/Davis/Koufos
Bagley/Bjelica/Randolph
Winslow/Jackson

Spot on. He will be missed in the locker room for sure. On the court anything he can do Shump can. I think a lot are sleeping on Shump and perhaps he will play a bigger role than we think.
It would be great for us if he rehabs his value prior to the deadline.
On the Bjelica thing I’m not sure. The Bagley at 3 thing is kind of getting a bit too real with all do these bigs. We need to move like 3 of them and the market for bigs is super, super quiet. Look at the big men that are still in FA and can’t even get a contract offer and we have Kosta and Randolph earning big money. We might be stuck with them unless it’s a trade where a team wants to dump a player.
So that means bye, bye WCS and Skal.
I still haven’t given up hope Vlade is looking for one of the 3s with a big contract, Porter or Wiggins. Get them expirings and get our lineup more balanced.

I'm guessing they don't mind having 6 bigs on the roster.

1. Koufos/Randolph have no value, let them expire we don't need the cap space anyways. 2. Giles is a major injury risk. 3. Deyonta Davis probably gets cut. Then I would guess we move off of WCS or Skal if we sign Bjelly.

Yeah I can totally see that. I think with Randolph and Kosta you have 2 vets that won’t cause trouble in the locker room not getting minutes.
I’m coming around on the Bjelica signing and actually like it. Will be interesting overall if he sees more minutes at the 3 or 4.
I would like to see us give Davis a shot tbh and have a C rotation
WCS/Giles/Kosta/Davis (Stockton)
Bagley/Bjelica/Randolph/Skal

Out of that I would just roll the dice and trade the 2 vets. That is of course not knowing what they are like at practise and how much they get involved in teaching the young guys. Still so many moves to be made, but I’m liking it so far, it’s not ideal, but give it time.

Ya I've come around on Davis as well. At this point i'm starting to think if we sign Bjelica, that only 1 of Skal, Davis, WCS can really make the team.

I keep coming back to WCS/Skal/Jackson/Mclemore for Otto Porter which makes way to much sense for both teams. Washington gets insurance for Dwight/Morris in case they start fighting eachother a week into the season. Jackson can help platoon sf with Oubre and Brown or play a bit of 2 or 4. For Sac its pretty obvious especially with a Bjelica signing

Giles/Davis/Koufos
Bagley/Bjelica/Randolph
Porter/Shump
Bogdan/Hield
Fox/Mason

I mean cant we hit big on 1 good trade?

I'm good with the Kings signing Bjelica but for possibly the room level exception of $4.4 million like Philly offered but give him 2 years. He has connections to Vlade, Peja, Bogdan, and assistant coach Bryan Gates coached him in Minnesota.

Another thing I stumbled across, his agent, Jason Ranne, also represents Bogdan, Skal and..........Capela...hmm.

With Smart likely on his way back to the Celtics and Hood likely getting matched by Cavs unless we made a ridiculous offer (please don't) then maybe there is something going on with Capela. Hypothetically, Kings talk to Ranne and said well hook up Bjelica and offer Capela a max. Buy out Deyonta Davis with cash Memphis sent. Trade Ben McLemore & 2020 2nd round pick to Pistons for Ish Smith. Trade Cauley-Stein in sign and trade for Capela.

De'Aaron Fox/Ish Smith/Frank Mason
Bogdan Bogdanovic/Buddy Hield/Iman Shumpert
Nemanja Bjelica/Justin Jackson/JaKarr Sampson
Marvin Bagley/Harry Giles/Zach Randolph
Clint Capela/Kosta Koufos/Skal Labisierre

Stockton - Wenyen Gabriel & Zach Auguste

Return to Sacramento Kings
