Was on my shortlist. I knew there had been a ton of great movies based on plays but as I was putting it together I was surprised how fast it filled up with favorites. Emunney's were on my shortilst as well, with the exception of "Marat/Sade," which i haven't seen. I'll have to check it out, though. Looks pretty cool.

I mean, you didn't list Casablanca. (Loosely based on a play, but still)

Had it on my list but deemed it (and "Moonlight") ineligible for that reason. It was hard enough to whittle it down to 10 anyway. It's possible I accidentally put some on there which also weren't actually produced that I didn't realize. Had it been, it would have been #1.

On ESPN+ they have a 30 minute behind the scenes feature on White Men Can't Jump. Talks with Ron Shelton, Woody, Snipes, Marques Johnson, Kameem Hardison. It's great.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is the movie of the year. It’s long, but god damn what a **** movie…I’m going to see it again Tuesday.

You have to see it

It was riveting until the third act and it comes to a rapid halt. You feel like it hits the emotional climax and it drags on for about another 45 minutes. It’s a shame because I was so enthralled but by the time the credits rolled I was almost annoyed by how long they dragged on the ending. Seems like a case of bad editing, someone falling in love with their own script a bit much or a little of both.

Side note: it was really cool to see Data from the Goonies back on the screen. He was so likable as the male lead.

That's funny, I have the exact opposite take. I felt like it was getting a bit drawn out in the middle with all the action and loved how they ended it. It was very emotional and completely absurd at the same time.

It's one of those movies for me that I'm thinking about days later. I feel like the last movie that made me feel like that was Parasite. They did an amazing job with the budget they had too. I didn't see many advertisements, but I'm sure it's going to be a cult hit.

I also find it funny that I can drag my wife to something and she will watch it with 0 expectations or any idea of what she is about to see. She really enjoyed it as well. I was just describing a book Dark Matter to her and this movie had some similar ideas.

It freaks me the **** out that it's been three years since season 2 of Barry ended. Season 3 starts on Sunday.

I’m so nervous it won’t live up to what I’ve built up in my mind. I loved the first two seasons so much.

They are pretty short episodes so I rewatched both seasons last week.

I didn't know they were doing a second season of Russian Doll, much less that it was already out.

No Atlanta?

I just saw that it was released today.

RE: Atlanta, I’m embarrassed to say I started the first season when it came out, didn’t have streaming at the time, and never kept up. It’s definitely on my list. Sounds like I should move it up?

I saw "The Northman" this past weekend. Epic af! A24 is on a roll. I'll pretty much watch anything that they'll put out.

Good to hear, thought the trailers made it look pretty trash. I love pre-Ragnar's-death Vikings, and The Last Kingdom, so this is up my alley-- plus a loaded cast.

Bummer they only got one Skarsgard bro, Gustaf was incredible in Vikings as Floki.

Go see it asap, it exceeded my expectations. They didn't hold back at all.

I hated it

Had no clue it was a horror movie

Thought I was going to see a Game of Thrones style genre film

I regret not walking out on it
