We need an overhaul in the back four, and play Matic/Ramires (or even RLC) in the DM spots, too many times this back four is exposed and are just too sloppy throughout. Heck I'd give Papy Djilobodji a shot, surely can't be any worse than our defence now.

So, how much longer do you think Oscar will be content to be the #7+ choice midfielder?

Current pecking order seems to be:
Hazard (at least until last weekend)
Cesc (seemingly undroppable for JM)
Willian (he's in great form)
Matic
Pedro
Ramires

That leaves Oscar competing with Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy and Mikel for what remains of the midfield minutes.

I am starting to find it difficult to envision a scenario where Oscar is still with the team next year.

Options
1) Keep Jose, keep starting big names, hope for a turnaround.
2) Fire Jose, hope that the shakeup helps spark team for 2nd half of season.
3) Keep Jose, but bench some of the big names and give some younger guys a chance to do better.
4) Spend like crazy in January.

Don't see how that's the case considering him (along with Willian) carried us towards the end of last year.

Don't know if it's Stockholm Syndrome or what but you're sounding a bit like Massimo there.

Montreal Impact forward Didier Drogba has reportedly retired in order to rejoin Chelsea as an assistant to new manager Guus Hiddink, according to Herve Penot of L'Equipe.

Drogba will reportedly join the Blues' coaching staff in time for Chelsea's Champions League Round of 16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain.

Penot adds that the two parties still need to agree to monetary compensation for Drogba's release, but that shouldn't lessen Drogba's intent to join Chelsea once more.

Drogba's ties at Stamford Bridge are strong, having spent much of his career playing - and scoring - for the Blues. He was recently spotted with owner Roman Abramovich and Hiddink taking in a Chelsea match while Montreal is on break for the MLS off-season.

The Impact admitted that it would be tough to retain Drogba and that negotiations had begun between the two parties by last Friday.

Rumors already swirling about Hazard leaving in the summer. What are your thoughts on this? I guess it was always expected with him at some point that he would want to leave for Madrid (most likely). Missing out on CL certainly speeds up that process.

I guess as long as we get good money in return and that money is spent wisely, then I'm fine with it.

He was already gone when he started to sabotage the team. Most of the fans turned their back to him. And he wont be the only one. Matic, ivanovic, fabregas should follow. Reports are about roman blames these players for this year's failure.

Thats fine, they have all been trash this year. Ivanovic is out of contract this summer anyway. I'd rather keep Matic and hope he rediscovers his form, but I won't lose sleep if he leaves either.

You were the one who claimed Pedro was going to be a good addition, right? Do I remember correctly?

I was happy about Pedro in the sense that it meant no more Cuadrado and no more Ramires trying to playing right wing.

Cuadrado is probably 10x better player than Pedro.

probably, but he was awful while he was here, so you can't blame any Chelsea fan for being half excited about an alternative.
