Re: College basketball (Cats vs Ducks PAC12 Tourney Championship on ESPN now) and 2017 draft
Even though I like the small forwards and figure we will end up with one of them, I am starting to worry about the possibility of it being a mistake to pass on a PG in this draft. Bledsoe can be great, but when I think of the future with Booker, Warren, Chriss, Bender being the core, Bledsoe's age, inconsistency and injury concerns leave me with a bit of hesitation of passing on a PG when we have a bunch of guys who can play the 3...if Bledsoe were to get injured and miss half the season next year like he has in two of his four seasons with us, we would be screwed at PG. At the 3, we currently have Warren, Bender, DJJ and even Dudley who could play the 3.

Agreed. I think you guys should look PG first. I think you guys have the perfect setup for Ball.

I remember during an interview on burns and gambo this week they said Ryan was at the acc tournament.
Fox is now at 5 on the DX draft board, ahead of DSJ. I wouldn't take fox over Smith, even with the injury concerns.

Really wishing we didn't trade the Lakers pick for knight. Walking away with Tatum and ball would be something special.

What about for Smith? If we keep pulling out wins, we are likely to finish better than the Magic and Sixers and maybe even the Kings...what if all the top 5 are gone? Who would you go then? Ntilinka? Markkanen? Isaac? I really hope we don't end up with Monk or Fox.

Just when that creeped into the very back of my mind for the first time, you shoved it right back to the front. Thank you for that.

I know nothing about euro guys except from Youtube highlights so I usually just stick to the college guys, Im horrible when it comes to euros haha. I think Ball fits you guys great because I think day 1 you guys can basically run the same offense that Ball excels in. DSJ runs a different type of offense, a lot less ball movement and more classical PnR, hes great running the PnR. I think he can still fit with you guys because you have the spacing for him and I think he and Chriss can make a good PnR or pick and pop duo.
But if we are talking if the top guys are gone, if Markkanen is there you take him and run. Youd probably have to trade Chriss or Bender, could be a log jam. Im really high on Markkanen, offensively the dude has almost all the tools. You dont pass him up.

It always makes it tough to decide on whether I want the Lakers to keep it or not. If they keep it, I will feel better about not losing it (though it rolls over to next year unprotected), but if Philly gets it because it ends up 4th then we would have traded Knight for whoever we could have taken there.
Even if the Lakers keep it, for all we know they could finish the worst next year and we would have traded Ayton for Knight.

If the Lakers give it up it really hurts their rebuild since they will owe an unprotected first to Orlando in 2019 too. If your hate for the Lakers trumps the desire to make the trade better then root for them to give up their pick.
And we're getting ayton next year.

Dillon brooks with 4 fouls and 10 minutes left.

No, I'd obviously rather them lose the pick. What's done is done. If they end up missing out on a premier player, it's a good thing for us...especially since that means they lose another first rounder in two years.

Re: College basketball (Cats vs Ducks PAC12 Tourney Championship on ESPN now) and 2017 draft
Tatum had a great ACC tournament, there's a lot to like about him. He has very good ball handling skills, can create shots for himself, has a great frame for a SF, is sneaky athletic, and he's really smooth working out of the post and in the mid-range.
My biggest question with him that I've had all year is why his range stops at the 3-point line? He's only shooting 34% from 3 on the season, and if you remove the game that appears to be an outlier where he went 6/7 from 3 then he'd only be at 30% on the season. He has a pretty nice looking jump shot and seems to be very comfortable in the mid-range, so it's weird that it's not translating outside. His free throw percentage is encouraging, but neither individual stat is a particularly good predictor of NBA 3-point shooting. I just can't see him suddenly being successful when the line moves back 3 feet.

If Josh Jackson had gone to Arizona, he wouldn't have vandalized a car - FACT.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.
