Looks like 214 cm. and thats in Oxfords. That means hes pretty much 7'0 on the dot in shoes, and they measure it in shoes.

Am I crazy that I keep getting a young Tim Duncan vibe from Jonas?
Imagine if we could convince Duncan AND Nash to come here next year?

Keep in mind he's wearing flats. With ball shoes he'll be a bit taller. That said, I'm not sure he's a 7 footer without shoes but I couldn't care less because of his wing span and reach.

Personality or game? I see the personality angle with both guys having a certain quiet confidence about them and being true team guys.

Wow, Thompson at 2? People thought 4 was a reach.

Damn @5? That's pretty harsh from Mr. Thorpe, but then again he claimed Solomon Alibi as the next big thing for the raps lol

He's actually pretty damn good, I'd place him #4 behind Kyrie Val and Bismack. He's got length and a very smooth touch; when given minutes he has excelled, especially their last game against the nets he absolutely reeked havoc inside

I thought Brooks would have been higher based on how he has been playing this year.

Re: Jonas Valanciunas 11/12 Season Thread II
Yeah what has Thompson done to warrant jumping to no.2?
I've not watched many Cavs games but he has started 2 games, his TS% is a poor 45%. His per36 points and rebounds are only 12 & 10. I don't get it.

He worked out with David Thorpe pre-draft. Thorpe is a joke . In his pre-season rooking rankings, he had Thompson at 1.

I guess Walker and Knight didn't work out with Thorpe because they didn't crack his top 10.

From David Verendia:
Not sure if I'll even get a response from you since you're such a busy guy and I'm sure you are getting a bunch of messages related to what i'm about to ask you.
But really ... what is Bryan Colangelo up to?
Aside from drafting JV (Jonas Valanciunas), which I think is an ALRIGHT pick ... (should have chosen Brandon Knight, personally, and signed a center in the offseason)
Trading Barbosa for a 2nd Round pick? that's absurd.
Probably one of the best 6th men in the league, and in return ... we get a 2nd round pick?
David Aldridge: Colangelo gets a lot of criticism for his recent moves in Toronto, David, with some justification. The Raptors didn't make the most out of Chris Bosh's impending free agency -- they should have traded him before he ever got a chance to walk -- and the series of trades Colangelo has made the last few years haven't done much of anything to improve the talent pool. But I think he made a good hire in Dwane Casey, and we have to wait until Valenciunas comes over next season to see how impactful he'll be. Because if he's as good as many personnel types think he is, that would change things in Toronto in a hurry.

Thorpe has been giving high rankings to the players he works out with for a longggg time. He's a joke.
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Re: Jonas Valanciunas 11/12 Season Thread II
I thought this guy sort of looked like Jonas Valanciunas:

Pretty appropriate, considering he's running away from a Raptor.
