in other news, I have 1 player I rate well over the rest on my list for 272. What are the odds sly takes him?

I thought he said a couple of seasons ago...but the point is moot. That player sucks regardless.

Given your #2 and #4, I'm pretty darn certain I know who your #1 is. I had him at #1 too for a while.

And I decided to go with my #3 at the last minute. Gotta take some calculated risks this late.

And here's team breakdown...

PG - Deron Williams (pg - BKN)
SG - Chauncey Billups (pg/sg - LAC)
G - Luke Ridnour (pg/sg - MN)
G - Devin Harris (pg - ATL)
SF - Rudy Gay (sf/pf - MEM)
PF - Andrei Kirilenko (sf/pf - MN)
F - Joe Johnson (sg/sf - BKN)
F - Manu Ginobli (sg/sf - SA)
C - Nikola Pekovic (c - MN)
C - Tyler Zeller (pf/c - CLE)
Bn - Jason Smith (pf/c - NO)
Bn - Rip Hamilton (sg - CHI)
Bn - Udonis Haslem (pf/c - MIA)
Bn - Austin Daye (sf/pf - DET)

Injury prone, pretty old, and very guard heavy. I could've used another Timberwolf for two, but overall I'm ready to roll. I also am happy that I drafted enough guys who frequently enough play the scare Thursday games. Nothing tips me off more than when I have 2 or 3 guys sitting on my bench every Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

I believe he plays for GS

Wrong.

For the record. I mean, analyzing last season's numbers he ranked out at #55.

While I'm waiting to sk1p sk1p... Who would you pick, Bosh or Batum for my keepers league.

H2H standard cats

My team:

Lebron
CP3
Tony Parker
Brook Lopez
KG

Thanks in advance!

I like Batum's potential, but it's also a bigger gamble. Bosh fits my team with good %, not too many centers that can do that, and I have 2 of them already.

I'd definitely go Batum. Bosh has good %s for a forward, but not for a C...his FG% is a liability there. Also, Batum fills the stat sheet much better than Bosh. When you can grab a guy who gets 2 3s, 1 steal, and 1 block a game, with good %s (not too far off of Bosh actually), you go for it.

btw someone please assure me that Dragic will create wonders in PHX. Somehow I just remembered I picked Dorell Wright at 37 after his best year and then he fumbled and I think closed the next year at 80 or something like that. if the same thing happens with the Dragon, then my team is f'ed up.

He is going to be terrible. Trade him to me. I'll give you pick 280 for him.

I personally think that you may be in for a let down with Dragic. The same may be said for the owner of Jeremy Lin. Here's why: Remember Flip Murray? He was a mid season marvel that everyone jumped onto the next season. He ended up severely disappointing that next season. Yes, he did have a few more fairly good seasons later on.

The problem with Dragic and Lin is they fit right into the "Flip Murray" paradox. People jumped on them because of a small sample set. Linsanity is based on only 25 games last year. Tragic only started 28 games. To make matters worse, both of these players are on new teams where they're supposed to be the star. That's a lot of pressure for 2 guys who have shown their skills in only a limited set of games.

The good news, there's not much depth behind either of these guys, so they should produce simply because there's no alternative. The question is whether they'll put up the stellar numbers they did last year. I highly doubt it.

I think Lin is more likely to disappoint over Dragic, but it is interesting that Houston ended up with Lin, instead of resiging Dragic.

his starts last year:
18 ppg with 49% 84% and 1.8 3ptm, 3.5 rpg, 8.4 apg, 3.2 top, 1.8 spg, 0.2 bpg

his 36 minute stats in the previous years isn't really that far off. since I'm looking at this stats now, what worries me is his FT% because I just noticed that he shot just above 70% from the line through out his career. ouch. if he doesn't get 80% then my 27th pick might have been a bit of a waste.

still though, I love his potential and I watched a few games of him last year, he was totally out of control.

and Flip Murray never got any stat as good as Dragic and Lin AFAIK

I think Per 36's and per 48's are deceiving because they don't take into account context. Still, I'm not saying Dragic will be bad. I'm just saying he won't play as well as the spot where he was drafted. (or lin for that matter)

yeah but I'd say Houston and Phoenix are pretty similar teams, in fact Phoenix can be even better for a point guard, who knows..

Lets see how these guys do once teams have a full season to work on defenses and game planing. I think we'll see things get a lot harder for Lin and Dragic this year. They might be just as good, it's possible, but, I think the smart money is that there will be a drop off.

My comparison would be more like Darren Collison than Flip Murray.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Still waiting on three managers to sign up for the league on Yahoo:

Hopper
Jazzfan
insfo

Did you all get the invite? I'd like to input the teams as soon as we're done here, but I'll need you guys to sign up first.

Thanks.
