i would be extremely disappointed if nothing happens. we really should be dumping our garbage for other team's garbage.

We should, but what can ya do? *shrugs* I'm sure Mitch is trying tho. We just need to make sure we don't lose that top 5 pick.

If the Suns want to trade Isaiah Thomas I'd do this deal...
LAKERS GET: Isaiah Thomas & Brandan Wright (Exp)
SUNS GET: Nick Young , Steve Nash (Exp), 2015 2nd Round Pick (via Clippers)

Lakers didnt do a single thing
Lakers didn't make a single move...
NOTHING...
They got nothing but role players on 1 year deals, and they couldn't move a single one of them?
They couldn't offer a 2nd round pick for KJ McDaniels?
they couldn't get in on all these trades?
The lakers didn't even make a single move... I don't even think they tried.

USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team
Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Isn't McDaniels an RFA? Why send a low 2nd round pick to a team and then likely have to overpay for a guy who we don't need?

That was bizarre, they got lucky with him and promptly traded him away for a 2nd rounder to play that lottery again.

Interesting admission of the state of the team from the coach.

We should've kept Bazemore, especially at such a cheap contract

don't get for Hou either, they have 3 solid SF already and they needed floor spacers for Howard/Harden, KJ not a good shooter yet and if someone offers him 5+mill or something Hou not gona be able to match cause they need the space for a bigger FA target.

Maybe it was supposed to be part of another deal that didn't pan-out... Hilarious if that's the case.

Re: 2015 Lakers Trade Deadline thread
Houston has some intriguing SF FA options that I'd consider throwing leftover FA money at (Brewer and McDaniels)

Re: 2015 Lakers Trade Deadline thread
hmm now I see the final details of the Kanter, RJ trade...Det didn't give up much of anything to get in on that deal. I don't know why we couldn't have gotten in on it, our 2nd would've been much better than Det 2nd only guy I find hard to match from Det is Augustine, he's a decent backup better then Price and cheaper than Lin. Other than that we could've thrown in something better than what Det gave up.

Re: 2015 Lakers Trade Deadline thread
Blazers fan here. I actually admire Your GMs discipline. It would have been easy to get in on some of these mid tier players in exchange for future picks, both first and second rounders. But as Byron Scott said its going to take more than one year to get back to top tier status.
By not improving from where you are it upholds the odds of keeping your pick this draft. Add a great prospect to go along with Randle. A number of these players traded today are rentals for win now teams and without giving anything up you still have a shot at them for next year if the Lakers so choose.
Seems like solid strategy to me even though I realize as a fan you are always hoping that great trade comes your way.

all the "rental" players that's been traded probably will resign with team they traded for, we were the only exception in the past with Howard. Given how much Mia gave up for Dragic, really don't think they gona get cheap with him and as for Det with Jackson, they gave up nothing IMO and got a pretty solid player. OKC will def. match Kanters offer unless (Please Use More Appropriate Word) GM offers him the MAX
