The level of trolling is out of hand. Very upsetting.

How da fuq do you get a -18 in a game you win by 9?

Sounds like he was the only one on the court when we went on a scoring drought.

Two scoring droughts. The Lakers had some runs, came back from a couple 8-9 point deficits. There wasn't a single 18 point run though, so he had to be on during at least 2 Laker runs.

The Lakers didn't look bad to me. No studs, but several players who know their games and limits and played hard. This was a good game. Good efforts on both sides.

He didn't look "that bad" to me. Selden looked worse and, in my opinion, Luca has looked worse, but Grimes did nothing to impress, unlike the 3 2nd round picks, Sims, Joku & McBride all look better, though Sims is a big man so not really a comparison.

He looks raw and like he needs work and like he'd be a good d-league candidate / 2 way player if that was an option (which I gather it's not for a first round pick). He's physical and strong enough, but looked nervous. He didn't look good, but I wouldn't say he's a guaranteed bust, which reading this thread, it's easy to get that impression.

Yes, can’t believe we wasted the 58th pick on this scrub. Could have brought back Elfrid instead smh.

You can say whatever makes you feel better but it doesn’t change the fact that the dude is trash

Dude. Lets just agree to disagree on this. He's raw, but there's some skill there. Some potential.

They really haven't. I was kinda annoyed that they didn't address the PG position but then they did. If you're gonna go for it, at least do it right  But that kinda eased me that they kinda mucked around in the draft.

Obv, if we have a real shot at a great player we'll take it.

Thibs isn't on the bench, though he might have provided oversight. Dice Yoshimoto is running the team. He's got a bit of an intense look though, like he wants the players to take the game seriously. I'd like to see more players out there, but I don't mind the play to win approach.

It could still work out OK. It could be a #15-#18 pick if it lands right, which is a fair return for a #19 which they didn't think they could use this year. The Knicks won a lot of trades recently, but you can't win all of them. That one was basically flipping the pick back a year or three. Jury's still out.

He missed a few 3s. Made a couple, missed more and he had a couple putbacks when guarded, so the first shot was a miss, 2nd went in. He didn't look bad to me. It wasn't an ugly 6 for 17. Obviously you hope for better, but I wouldn't worry about it.

You don't fit-pick when you need talent. You draft BPA and figure the rest out later. At worst, if/when the player proves his talent is legit you have a trade asset.

You may be right, but this is Thibs and Perry, who's in line with Thibs team management approach and they are fit-picking, and they're not the only team that does. Maybe they shouldn't, but they do.

They flipped #19 into a (probably) future first

and they flipped #21 into #25 and a future 2nd.

Then they snagged an extra 2nd in the 2nd round, trading 32 for 34 and 36, which is a coup, I don't care what anyone says, 32 isn't worth 34 and 36 and I like the guys they took at 34/36 so big win there. That swap might have been a gift from the OKC to be repaid at a later date (the Kemba contract perhaps)

Accept your busts its part of drafting!

im starting to get to the mentality that if 1 of our draft picks becomes a good player, we did ok drafting. Mcbride can be that player with a sims bonus/gravy if he contributes at all

Jokubaitus looks like a solid draft and stash pick up too, so I agree with you. They absolutely did OK. Even if Grimes at 25 doesn't work out, they did well in the 2nd round and they added a future first and a future 2nd. I see that as a win.

It is

Fine enough, good bench player, fringe starter

I would say, not as good as a Reggie Bullock though.

I’ve grown to like this FO. I’m not sure if they are down with Antifa, but their ideology is already anti-Afflaloist and non-Millisian in nature.

Even though Grimes wasn't hitting his shot, did you notice the form? Others mentioned H20 and I agree, like Mr. Houston...
Notice his +-? He had the best on the team the last two games I believe. And he rebounds extremely well.

I'm not excited with the pick but I do him as being a very sound player who just looks "lost in the lights" out there. Just like Obi last year, always giving the ball up. Which makes no sense as I think he was his teams leader last year and helped take them to the final 4. The guy has loads of talent, can play good to great defense and see's the floor VERY good for his position. I think, like Obi, he is a bit of a late bloomer.

Since we needed scoring on the team, I wish we would have kept that 19th pick (in addition) and grabbed Cam there. I think we could have molded that guy. Lucky Brooklyn; rich get richer.
