Ja has a better case for that narrative. Memphis only 1.5 games behind Gs and that Draymond injury doesnt sound good at all.

Jokic coming through the backdoor and going b2b w/o Murray or Mpj would be insanity![]()

He's top 5 in exactly 0 statistics and has missed many more games (where his team dominated and their own fans booed him on his return). No, he certainly does not have that narrative. Curry is still top 5 in VORP/EPM/+- (5/2/1) and they have the #2 record (#1 SRS) in the NBA. D Rose/AI were not there. Let's hear your Ja argument though.Bobbcats wrote:Booker looks like he wants in this conversation the last week or so. If he plays great in the second half I can see the narrative moving to him
He's 50/50 to be an All Star honestly. Nowhere near MVP caliber.

Malone seems to have a vendetta against staggering minutes and Jokic spends essentially no time playing with the bench unit. And it’s a bench unit that could really, really use his help. I have no clue why he thinks this is the winning strat.
he spends plenty of time playing with bench unit players. they just happen to be starting for the nuggets. they are playing like 8 deep. who do you want him to play with? campazzo?
It’s just odd that the only starter he really staggers with the bench is Barton (it's pretty ridiculous to have 3 starters with a >10 +/- and be a .500 level team). Yes I’d have him playing more with Camp. But with Jokers minutes down with the injuries I do get it. He’s effectively throwing the season and prioritizing health.

Certainly don't think he's been MVP caliber so far, but there's half a season and if he can continue like he's played of late he'll get the best player on best team attention. I do think CP3 is still their best player, but Booker's got much more of a chance for this because CP3's game is anti-stats this year, only does stuff himself when the team is cold and most games he saves his own number for a fourth quarter fight that's not needed.

Nobody in the East deserves it anymore.
-KD is injured
-Giannis, his team is not playing well enough
-Embiid, same
Curry should have easily won it. But his stats have just fallen off a cliff.
LeBron/Jokic are not on good enough teams at all. Thats not how MVP works.
At this point it might just have to be Devin Booker. Why is he getting no buzz?

MIL 5th
PHI 6th
DEN 6th
Morant? But MEM is 11-2 w/o him….
Curry? Down year, but impact is still here.
Butler? Already had missed a lot of games.
PHO/CHI/UTA/CLE dont have MVP type player.

Difference between 6 and 1 seed in east is 2.5 games.
Bucks or sixers moving up is more likely to happen with a good week. Than what excuse would you have if bucks were 1 seed and sixers 2 seed in a few weeks? Not to give it to Giannis or embiid?
