Jett Howard and Kris Murray having a great duel right now, a 31 bomb for Jett so far

I really want to like Jett but just can't fully buy in for some reason

Think of him as being like Klay Thompson offensively.

am I the only one that thinks Ausar > Amen? still don't understand why almost everyone universally has Amen above him.

This got a lot of views during the week, I'm curious to know this board's take...

Personally, as someone from only 3 hours away from Fargo and who knows the hoops played in this region, my NBA best-case scenario ceiling comp is Larry Nance Jr. A lot of folks are hyping him up, but I don't see a ton of translatability to the league.

Catch/shoot.
One dribble/shoot.
Relocate/shoot.
Pin-down/hand-off/shoot.
Foul-line/turn/shoot.
Mid-range/dribbles/turnaround/shoot.

A mixture of Tatum and Harris for me. He just needs to get stronger/add physicality to that frame.

Amen’s first step in “generational” & people love that attribute. They envision prime Zach LaVine blowbys.

I'll say this. Ausar looks the easier of the two to integrate into a team. Defence is probably more fundamentally sound, he makes sensible decisions, the shot is clearly further distancing itself from Amens. He rebounds and blocks well. I mean, he's a lottery prospect for good reason.

Amen though has the ridiculous first step, but more so has court vision and speed of execution that Ausar can only dream of.

Above that, I know a fair few sets of twin boys and there seems to always be a leader and a follower. Amen is unquestionably the leader. Do I have reservations about how Amen will fare without Ausar beside him? I really don't. Would I be nervous about Ausar in a world with no Amen? That's one to ponder.

Amen takes too many risks with his prodigious talent and so maybe you're better off with the more submissive Ausar, who plays within himself more. But star upside apart, its Amens fire and focus and drive (while staying humble, polite, professional and hardworking) that excites me most.

And Ausar's second-fiddle-syndrome could be a blessing or cause him to drown in the alpha environment.

He, we agree on something :) I have Ausar slightly ahead. Ausar is a slightly stronger frame, better shooter and a little better defensively.

Plus Amen over-dribbes more than Ausar. Ausar is more decisive when attacking off the bounce. And while Amen is a better pass, Ausar has made god strides there - he's not far behind.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

thoughts on taevion kinsey? of course the first negative that stands out is his lack of three point shooting, 2nd is his age, but otherwise he's a pretty special talent and an elite athlete. only player in the country averaging 20, 5 and 5. he's efficient, he defends, high bball iq, rebounds his position and is a hell of a passer. pretty good FT shooter, so there is some hope maybe he can figure out the long distance shooting.

kinda reminds me of evan turner at osu if evan turner were an elite vertical athlete.

Kris Murray on a tear recently. If he can be a high volume 3pt shooter he’s a great pick 15-20.
Shot 13 3s against Michigan.
Needs to make more than 4.

The chasedown block at 0:35 is why I love him. He is one of the quickest and fastest center sized players I have ever seen

I've recorded and watched every game I can and it's a tough eval. He clearly has great size, athleticism, BBIQ and skill but his teammates are mostly incapable of simple entry passes and his coach pulls him as soon as he commits a foul. I'm mostly surprised by his BBIQ and passing. It's NBA ready. I've been less than impressed with his defense. I thought he'd be getting 3-4 blocks a game but while he's in position to get blocks he seems to JUST miss several a game. I was super high on him before the draft but now am worried that he chose the wrong school and will be taken late 1st and buried on someone's bench for years. UCLA was a terrible choice by him. He did his draft stock no favors by going there.

I think Amen has the "bag" so to speak. Kinda like Jalen Green. Ausar is no slouch but he's more of a well-rounded player who seems to focus on passing and defense. I think it's just their personalities more so than any skill difference. I think they're much better prospects than Kuminga who they get compared to a lot.
