I don't understand Houston at all.. The only reason to get somebody like Gasol would be to compete right now, yet they're helping the Lakers get Chris Paul which keeps them from competing not only right now, but at anytime in the future. I hope they don't seriously think their team with Gasol, Kevin Martin, etc would compete with THAT. idiots...

I don't know, but it just seems like these deals are popping up all over the place suddenly and just to test if the Magic really don't intend to deal Howard.

Maybe I am just optimistic or just don't know enough about all this FA stuff, but Howard's list mentions Ellis, and suddenly there is a deal in the works so he is traded to NOLA. LA has been trying to sell us on Bynum and now all of a sudden he's going to Houston. Deals here, deals there and a host of players names in the mix, but all silent on the Howard front. It just seems like they want to see if ORL will panic at the thought of losing these stars that were supposedly going to be offered to us, so they expect us to come calling like, "wait a minute, maybe we will consider the bynum deal, but you have to give more."

We aren't doing it though, so you hear a new deal that's even more ridiculous. Whatever, i just don't believe half of this stuff coming out. That idea of Amare ending up traded is funny though. That would be just wrong, lol.

yeah shut that crap off... they're talking bs... they don't know that for sure... news just came out like 15 minutes ago... ESPN is running with it because obviously it gets CP3 on one of their favorite teams (LA)

No way this happen in the next 72 hours or whatever... other teams will step in

I kinda feel the same way. It wouldn't be this disturbing if there were rumors about our attempts to improve coming to light but it's deadly quiet on the Magic front. I'ts depressing.

Sometimes it feels like the NBA is a big Joke and we're at the butt of it....seems everybody's in on it except us...feels like we're on the outside looking in...but at this point things can change in a split second so i'm not ready to jump out of a building just yet....i'll leave that option open until around the Trade Deadline

Close, but I doubt Odom won't go to New Orleans. He would rather retire first or will lose all motivation to be a good player. Hornets are not that stupid to bring in someone that doesn't want to be there.

Besides, I think Orlando could offer NOLA a better package while GSW/Clips can do even better.

Same here! This is what's irking me the most... the package NOH would receive isn't that great imo... I think Nelson + Bass + Anderson + Redick is better than freakin Odom or Luis Scola and a couple scrubs or whoever

How are people surprised/shocked that companies like ESPN "favor" LA, NYC, Boston, Miami, etc. They are a business, and are in the business of getting the most people to watch their product as possible. And guess what, those cities and teams have far more customers that want to hear about what their teams are doing then Orlando. It's not personal, and every one of you would do the same thing if it affected your bottom line.

Ok now that I got that off my chest, if there is a silver lining in all of this it has to be if Orlando is forced to trade Dwight and can get draft picks out of him, this is a great year to have multiple lottery picks. Look what OKC did......I wouldn't mind ripping off that formula.
