I really think they missed on how charismatic, funny and genuinely awesome Giannis is as a person. I felt his character was pretty hollow in the movie. I could watch that ayton block and jrue to Giannis alley oop forever though as it still makes my hair stand up.
Especially coupled with Mike Breen shouting "SHOT BLOCKED BY ANTETOKOUNMPO !!!"

Rise was good, it could have been better like people said. The main thing was Giannis being so quiet and not charismatic/funny like the real Giannis is.

I really liked it. It made me even more glad he resigned with you guys a couple years ago. Everyone acts like he saved the Bucks, and fine, yeah he did, but they saved him first, and it's awesome to see him show loyalty and appreciation for the team that did so much for him and his family.

Yeah the movie didn't go into how hard the Bucks pushed to get Giannis's family over here. They had a US Senator using all his strings and they still almost got denied a 3rd and final time.

The movie was not good but I was still moved to tears when we drafted him. Using the real draft night footage for Stern was probably the filmmakers best decision. So much fish out of water, Giannis in Wisconsin stuff left on the table, or ideally for the sequel in the hands of other people.

Yeah seemed weird with the way they make movies today, that they didn't set it up for a sequel. They just seemed to cap it off with random career highlights at the very end. Would be weird to have a second movie at that point, would definitely need a new thanisis lol.

I would've been jacked if they cold ended it with him showing up outside the Cousins Center with him saying, "little did I know my journey was just beginning" with Larry Sanders slapping him on the back with "You ready for this" while smoking a a joint. *with quick action shots of Kidd, MDJ, etc* *screen going black*

Yesterday I bought the STR8 Giannis fragrance from my local super market.
There was a 10 € discount so I bought 2 of them for total 7.80 Euros! Not bad at all.
For my Greek friends, this discount runs at Sklavenitis markets.

NBA might be more interesting if they replaced the draft with progeny.

Bernie Goldmann the film producer said they are in talks with Giannis about a possible sequel focused around his first year in the USA, bringing his parents over etc.

Somewhere in the NBA multiverse, Thon Maker’s movie is in production.

Who's playing Larry Sanders?

I wouldnt be totally shocked if he was in it. He's an LA guy, young enough to realistically play himself, showed he likes the spotlight, and has plenty of free time.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

They could do a "Return of the Jedi" like sequel and end it with Gianni shoulder-checking Dunleavy into the courtside row and joining the dark side of the force.

EDIT: Then the post-credits scene with Pitbull playing Jason Kidd being hired by the Bucks
