Wait, we’re actually defending Ben Simmons? Shaq is 1000% right. The dude has one the worst playoff series in NBA history for a starter and is now demanding a trade while having 4 years left on his contract. His coach defending him night after night and then made one emotional comment. Man if I played for the 76ers and was in Ben’s position Id want to prove all the doubters wrong. I wouldn’t run away from my problems.

Bens social media posts have all been passive aggressive. He doesn’t know how to accept responsibility. He’s got way too many damn yes men in his corner.

Hate him or not Shaq and Chuck are 1000% correct. You ain’t that good bro.

Simmons is an NBA player while also living the fun lifestyle simultaneously.
Shaq is no longer an NBA player, and probably hasn't got the physical ability to enjoy himself the way Simmons can, plus Shaq has a big family which could get in the way of his freedom.

Well they have mouths, and that's about all.
Simmons has a life, something Chuck and Shancy don't have anymore.....so they talk about Ben's life instead.

Why would Shaq be jealous? He’s in the top 10 greatest players of all time. 4 time champ, 3 times finals mvp.

I don’t think it’s good for his image, but I never fault a player from enjoying their life and posting on social media.

The only thing Shaq could possibly be jealous of is Ben's youth.

Shaq lives life bigger and better than Ben ever could dream of, and has lived like this for several decades now. He's a walking king.

This freaking nails it right on the head.

Ben runs from his issues. He doesn't face them.

I'm also tired hearing about how Jo and Glenn threw him under the bus. He deserved to be thrown under the bus. They had no business losing that series to the Hawks. None. That is primarily on Ben ******* the bed on offense. If he didn't want anyone to say anything; then slow the **** down and make some FT's, and also don't pass up easy dunks.

That all being said, he is still a multi-time All-Star and All-Defense player who has a nice value. It's not what Morey thinks it is, though.

Yeah, Shaq is one of the most recognizable, beloved people on earth. The dude has nothing to be jealous of.

He and Charles have said similar things about other players whose heads were bigger than their game and they were right 99% of the time.

So somebody explain to me what the hell is going on here?

Is all this trade talk speculation like it’s always been or did Simmons actually request a trade

Would you guys see Dejounte+Vassell+Dragic as a fair return for Simmons+Curry?

Dejounte, Maxey, Green, Harris, Embiid -- Dragic, Thybulle, Vassell, Niang, Drummond -- Korkmaz, Reed

Feels like an upgrade over last season. That's a strong 12 man rotation with some tradeable young guys that could help land another star from a rebuilding team.

No.

In my eyes, i can get a better prospect than Dejounte with a late first round pick. For instance, I’d prefer Bones Hyland or Cam Thomas over Dejounte.

Dejounte’s value is more on his defense and all around game, and that’s a low utility value for a guard which is valued more as a scorer or that can stretch the floor

Dejounte is valued more than Curry.

But in a Sixers uniform, Curry is valued more than Dejounte.

I dont see any possible trades with the Spurs. Spurs best chance was trading the 2021’s 12th pick to us or if Joshua Primp pans out next season and make him as a centerpiece of a Ben Simmons trade.

What do you guys think of Joshua Primo?

I think he has the tools to be a poor man’s or as good as SGA.

Didnt flashed to me because of his numbers in college but i didnt factor in his age.

The reason I ask is, if Primo could be a very promising player. I then don’t mind getting Dejounte, Primo and draft pick compensation (picks or pick swap) for Ben.

I’d then trade Dejounte to probably the Cavs for Sexton.

And if you guys dont like Sexton then for someone like FVV, Brogdon, Rozier or anyone you like.

76ciology continues to overrate draft picks. You can get a better player than Dejounte in the late first round can you?

Dejounte was a late first round pick and enerting his 6th year since been drafted before becoming a half decent player.

You prepared to wait six years for this magical late first to be playable?

Like if you have low standards, explains why you are a big fan of Ben, and want to trade Ben for Dejounte then be my guest. Because that aint happening with a guy like Morey in charge.

Dejounte Murray, what’s to like about this guy?

He is an average scorer at best.
He is already 24 and shows no upside.
His advanced stats are not good.
He shows no sign at all to develop into a good shooter.

The only reason why he gets decent all around numbers is because he is playing guard on a trash team where he can pad stats how much he wants. We’ve seen this story before with MCW.

If you are going to trade Ben. You don’t trade Ben for someone who’s like a poor man’s Ben Simmons.

As a scorer, Milton and Maxey are already superior than this guy.

He's effectively a smaller version of Simmons that will shoot. His LEBRON stats are equal to Simmons this past season.

You don't need a scorer back for Simmons, you need a playmaker and defender.
