About the only team below us that I can see being ahead is next year is obv MEM. But this team was starting to click a bit with everyone healthy and you can bet Masai will spend that cap space to try and make MLSE some Play In or Playoff money.
BKN is barely ahead of us despite all our injuries, there’s a little rumblings of Trae being traded in the offseason and they’ll likely look to mover Dejounte again. CHI will loose DeMar. Ainge already started clearing out some of the guys and I’m sure that will continue in the off season. I can quite easily see us be 10+ in the draft.
And a pick in the 12-15 range may well end up being as good or better than a top six pick this year. Regardless, even if they try their best to tank the rest of the way this year, it's up to the lotto balls to decide our fate and it's not something to really spend much time worrying about either way.
