If Houston offers us Evans, Martin, 5, 18, future pick or two for Howard, you take it and never look back. That would give us 3 picks in this draft to start rebuilding with, plus two young players in Martin and Evans. You also get a ton of cap space for the summer of 2013 which will have Paul, Ellis, Smith, Iggy, etc as FAs.

@IAMAGM: Rumors: Lakers trying to move Metta World Peace for a late first-round pick, also Pau Gasol to Wizards for #3 pick http://t.co/9mmDu4U3

Why the hell would Wizards want Gasol with already having Okafor and Nenë??

Aren't the Wizards really hot on Beal? I highly doubt they're looking to move back.

Gambino I just saw Rob traded you to the Jazz board for a poster from there. Guess you were right in that anyone can be traded lol.

In response you got a point that it would be awkward but at the same time if it helps out the magic then I say get it done. I will miss the toughness baby brought in the playoffs but at the same realization you gotta make the best moves for the club you can and I think it Rob can do just that

How available for the right deal (this would be part of a much larger Dwight deal) that would net you draft picks, expiring and a large TPE plus would let you get rid of some of your worse contracts in addition to possible some additional salary. And what is the situation with Nelson's contract? Are there any options involved? Trying to put something together.

The Wizards won't want Gasol with Nene and Okafor already on their books.

If it comes to pass that Dwight won't commit or wants out and this gets done right and things work out, it could be like when the Cowboys traded Herschel Walker for all those picks that ended up being the building blocks for their dynasty....

I was thinking the same thing as a die hard Cowboy fan

The difference in the NFL Draft and NBA Draft is huge though. In the NFL your almost guaranteed to draft 2 studs a year due to the sheer mass of players that are available. The NBA not so much. The top 3-5 picks usually end up being mainstays and everything after that is a crapshoot.

Late NFL first round picks>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Late NBA first round picks would be my point.

Wiz should have a significantly improved Defense. I like that team now.

If Houston gets Evans:

Evans
Martin
Scola
5th pick
18th pick

for

Howard
Hedo
JRich

This gives us 3 good vets, 2 young players and 2 draft picks to build our new team with. We also get a ton of cap space in 2013, especially with Martin's 12 million coming off the books.

What are the Wizards going to do with Andray Blatche? ... Blatche is a boneheaded player... but he's extremely talented... I'm curious to see where he ends up

He didn't say irreparable relationship - in fact, the exact quote was "they need to repair that."

I guess it now becomes a game of chicken as in who will blink first and pick up the phone. My guess is Hennigan makes the contact.

As for the 'they never came to visit me," crap, there is no way Dwight has had to stay in LA for the past three months for rehab. Why didn't he come to Orlando to meet with Hennigan and Martins himself?

The bottom line is he's been hanging out in LA with his 'advisors and representatives' and we all know that they are pushing Dwight to leave Orlando.

In the past, rumors were that the front office would spend the offseason convincing Dwight he didn't want to leave Orlando while his 'friends' were telling him he needed to move to New York. This year it sounds like they're fed up with it and ready to trade him wherever the best offer comes from if he continues to act like a prima donna.

I think Courtney Lee is a nice bench piece, but the guy is not the sort of starter you would want on a championship team.

there is no I in TEAM

True, but there is ME :)

Why the hell would Wizards want Gasol with already having Okafor and Nenë??

Maybe Washington is collecting aging power forwards that have been forced to play center in the past...?

Sort of like Otis and shooting guards the past few years.
