yeah, certainly not every night. but don't need him to. not with this team :D

I hope so man. I too like Brandon Roy. I found him more enjoyable to watch than Dwyane Wade.

two huge question marks.. Dwights health and Jeremy lamb's transition. Can swing you from lottery to championship.

I don't think dwight's back is that big of a problem.

Lamb is gonna be the 4th 5th option, I don't see that many teams with a 4th 5th option as good as lamb. The team is not asking him to avg 20 a night, as many people know lamb defers to other players so he won't just go out there and jack up shots.

Marco is a good shooter to have behind lamb along with brewer who can play like his hair is on fire every time he is out there

yeah. he's much easier to root for. if he had been on the knicks, i would get season tickets. i hate that he has the degenerative knees. but the man was (is) fantastic and a great player.

of course, i've been saying this long before i did BAT :D

I like your team, doing well for your 1st BAT (and yeah those hiccups early kinda hurt). But yeah, I agree with LJ...going to be a lot of pressure on Lamb to be able to produce as a starter and a top 2-3 option offensively. A long season and playoffs are rarely easy on rookies. But not bad at all. You probably would have been well off with either Hamilton or Salmons to provide Lamb some veteran tutelage and to help better carry the load overall offensively (both guys are more offensively diverse and potent than Belinelli IMO even if they are older).

Also the thing with guys like Hamilton and Salmons is that, while they may be older and haven't exactly produced like they used to in their prime and, in the case of Salmons have a pretty hefty contract, what they do offer a team is the ability to create their own shot (Salmons more so than Hamilton) or get into position to get a easy shot (Hamilton more so than Salmons) and in doing so take some pressure off of your point guards to have to work to set others up. So you don't necessarily need a Deron Williams or Chris Paul type if you have guys that can create their own shot opportunities either with the ball in their hands (Salmons) or by being great at getting open for quick easy shots (Hamilton may be one of the best in the past 20 years in getting himself open and moving without the ball).

yeah, salmons is great, for his age, at creating his own shot. rip is the opposite in that he's one of the best off the ball

Roy will be just fine. i was going to draft him myself at 190. Roy is an extremley smart player, he doesnt rely on his quickness/athleticsm to play basketball. He was never really the most athletic guy anyways, he was probably about average in terms of NBA players. But what set him off from the rest of the guys was his intelligence and skill level.

Those 2 traits didnt go away when he injured his knees. If he can come back and remain durable, i think he has a chance to revive his career. Not at the level he was at, but he can still be a 15-17/4/5 kinda player. That would be helpful on any team, and i am getting league pass this year because i want to follow the T Wolves/Nuggets/Rockets still (half way during the season so its cheaper)

I think the Wolves are going to be nasty this season, and i think Roy is going to turn some heads. Nuggets for Gallo/Chandler/Faried and i still like Harrington. Im also curious to see if McGee added anything offensively to his game. And the rockets...Well...because of Lin...haha.

Are we talkin' about the same former FL Gator Corey Brewer "who can play like his hair is on fire"?

Ok 1st R.I.P. (as in Rest In Peace) Hamilton, Brandon Roy (who I drafted and expect big things from but sheesh, gettin' outta control, where was this love affair when I had him) and now Corey Brewer?

These sales pitches are going:

hey man, i backed the hell out of you when you drafted him lol.

i don't think these things are too far off. at a limited role, roy is just what my team needs come PO time. we all know and have said he's not going to be the same guy he was 3/4 years ago. but he's still going to be special enough

Lol so saying Brewer plays like his hair is on fire is going overboard? You must never seen him play.

Hey now!

I think in real life w/ the Wolves the guy is gonna be great and should absolutely be the starting SG (although I'm sure he'll bitch like he did in Portland when he didn't start or when 'Dre Miller dominated the ball but anyway) he'd definitely be a great alternative to Kevin Martin on your team and I could even see your squad playing small ball for spurts w/ Martin/ Roy/ Durant/ Camby or Seraphin cause that'd be a great closing unit.

I'm just sayin' tho, that whole convo was bananas imo, especially the R.I.P. Hamilton "circle jerk" conversation.

eh thats a bit out of context.. I said if he went in the 5th (possibly the 4th-which I then retracted) no one would have been that surprised. I even said that I would NOT have taken him that early. I pointed to how Ray Allen was the first pick of the 5th round, they have somewhat similar games at a similar stage in their career, and no one said anything about that pick. I also don't think anyone explicitly agreed with my statement, and several explicitly disagreed with it. Still, if you don't think he was a steal, especially given my team, then you're either hating or uninformed. No one saying the guy is still in his prime (if he was he would have gone first round).. but he's still a good player.

Well all I know is that big head n*gga gonna be pissed when can't get the ball from Dirk, Joe and Al.

Doin' all that running around off screens just to get waived off by all 3 of them cats.

You should put him on the bench.
