Seems obvious, they wouldn't give up a BKN pick for him.

Ron Swanson wrote:Celtics could have beat that Pelicans offer even if they didn't include the Nets 1st. I think it's absolutely fair to criticize Ainge for being cheap here. He talks a big game but he routinely overvalues and clings to his mediocre assets until they lose any value they once had. If that was indeed Cousins' going rate, there's a feasible possibility that the Celtics could have gotten both Cousins AND Butler without compromising their entire core.

I agree with everything you said, but what does a 200M Boogie do to your franchise? Limits every move you can make going forward and that is a hell of a lot of money for a guy you don't really know that well with a lot of question marks surrounding him.

Like the Packers, the C's have a great culture going here and can use those Nets picks to get their superstar (or trade for a better and sane fit in Butler). They don't have to bring in a disruptive nutcase, no matter how talented.

Randy Moss would have been pretty great in Green Bay.

The 200+m deal was only possible with the Kings.

Thanks, but I think my comment still stands at 180M Boogie
