We're judging this as a win-now for this season based on the progression/regression of the current NBA. Why wouldn't injuries be taken into consideration? Why should I judge a Derrick Rose any differently based on his injury history, than potentially a guy like Rudy Gay who is now out for the year, but never had injury concerns? Obviously injury history plays its role, but I don't believe I should excuse a players current injury status because it's "not fair" to the GM who selected him. Anybody feel bad for Doc Rivers and the Clippers for Chris Paul's upcoming 1-2 month absence? Should the rest of the NBA play the games with Raymond Felton's in-game sliders turned up to CP3's attributes? Injuries happen and they should be factored.

Yes, a 6th round pick doesn't make up for a 1st or 2nd round loss...but it does help and allows them to at least add a piece to help offset some of that. They keep the player who was drafted initially. Depending on when the injury occurs, you factor that players contributions during the regular season up until that point. But why should I be judging a team in a playoff series playing a player who is out for the playoffs? God forbid a scenario in which one of these players dies in-season...do I judge his team as if he were still alive?

Let's just give the title who ever Lucked out with LeBron then and call this BAT now. I didn't see it was judged solely on one year as I joined as the 29th overall GM, but to only be graded for 1 season doesn't make a lot of sense. It should have a heavy affect on grading, being able to win/compete now...but basically make it hard to win on everyone else

Let's be real...Chris Paul will probably be back and have played a few games by the time we finish the draft :D

so without giving away any name drops who do you think will be named starters for the allstar game tonight on TNT @ 7pm. My selections are

East
Irving (as much as i hate it, fan voting is 50% so he gonna undeservingly get the nod)
Derozan
Giannis
Lebron
Embiid

West
Westbrook
Harden
Kawahi
Durant
AD

man is the west so much more talented (kinda funny how 3 of the west started all played together..)
Charlotte Hornets

SGA
Ant Man/Tyler Herro
Dillon Brooks/Royce Oneil/Julian Champagnie

I think Lowry gets the start and Love gets voted to start too. Unless they run with some small ball sh*t, and do 3 guards and 2 forwards in the East.

Everything else I agree with for the starters. Tho, if he wasn't hurt atm, I'd prefer KP start. He spreads the floor better with those guys than Emblid.

If they all made it to you there is a 100% chance at least one of them would make it past you.

I'm saving my best punches for bwgood. But I haven't seen bwgood around here in a while, my guess is reading one Smash post was enough to peace out and just mail those picks in. Might have to leave his lil lackey assistant just alive enough to deliver the message.

It was a HUGE gap between his picks. But he is here everyday reading. Plus, he has an active assistant too.

Like I said earlier, I know he shook QUITE a few boards with his GF pick at #2 (regardless of what anyone leads you to believe otherwise  ).

This gap is killer, so much time between picks. I understand why ABBA format was picked, but like you said, a lot of time in between picks. Kind of helped since we've both been busy at work, but we've been in constant communication.

2nd pick is almost finally coming up though.

Read and yes man...yup, that's exactly what I do lmao. Bwgood and I have good conversation regarding our first pick and rest of the draft strategy, I wouldn't be wasting my time to yes man.

I never liked Horford's game and he's clearly on the decline.

So glad Boston panicked, overpaid, and is now locked into him. :D

I'm four picks away, but probably won't be near a computer until 7 after 4:15...so if there's a run to me between 4-7...there's gonna be a gap. Mecca might be able to catch me though, anyone with twitter really. My phone alerts me, so I could try to look things over but no promises.
