Pre season is garbage time. I feel like the teams and players who try hard are the ones that end up suffering injuries.

The only goal of players in pre season (and this is true for summer league as well) should be to come out of it healthy.

*Only exception to this if you’re fighting for a roster spot or there is a positional battle going on.

Terry kept saying you have to calm down and let stuff like that go in his post game interview. He definitely seemed mad at Smart.

The hyperbole on this forum is hilarious. Preseason is nothing in the NBA. 60 wins may have been overly optimistic, but they’re still easily a 50 to 55 win team.

The team played really bad in the preseason, plain and simple. Brad was not happy with team’s play.

Guys like Tatum and Brown played poorly. Actually the entire team outside of Rozier and Morris didn’t play well. Lemon actually was good too.

That being said, these games don’t mean anything so some fans here are overreacting. Wait about 10-15 games when the season officially starts then we can talk.

Also remember that 30% of our rotation players are coming off big injuries and two of those players are all-stars.

I’m not happy about Tatum and Brown’s play in preseason but they will come around when the games count.

You know you're getting to that "smug" stage of being a fan when the season is about to start and all you care about is health for the playoffs and couldn't care about the regular season.
The preseason? What's that?

We are so spoilt. I love it.

I would probably love it if we pulled a GSW 73 win type of season but I think somewhere in my soul I would be wishing for nail-biting hard fought wins and near loses (we win, the other team is the one who takes that hard fought L), like other seasons where we didn't dominate. Dunno, I'm so used to cheering on the scrappy doos the last 7 or so seasons. I hope we win every game, no doubt, but I have to admit that I like a bust you in your mouth, bar fight! Let's go CELTICS!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if we start the season with a negative record. We usually do.

Last year half the board was ready to quit after the first couple of games. I even made a "This time last year" thread showing the exact same reaction with quotes from posters one year before. We made it to the East finals on both seasons.
I'm ready for another similar thread.

I thought about this and wanted to out myself. I saw Rozier and his friends and some of what they put online and I put them in a stereotypical box for a while. If you asked me as a first time viewer (even a while later), I would say they were a bunch of thugs and a typical "new money, new celebrity" type of crew. Guys who care more about flash than anything.

Then, I went deeper and started following more of the people he hangs with and I realized that while they love to shine (bit of a passion for fashion and bling), they seem really committed to being successful at what they do. He is always working and surprisingly, to me at least, his friends not only follow his lead at working hard at their craft, they encourage and participate in helping HIM and everyone in their crew get better. Usually what I see is guys like them riding the success while the star/player does all the work. He does the work but some are out there training with him and some are on the sidelines really cheering him on. They don't seem jealous of him and I think it's because they all do the same for each other. Honestly, before you listen to Roze speak, he looks like a young rapper/thug-lite but when he speaks, he is such a mature man. He jokes but he also takes what he does so serious. You can really see that he wants to be the best. They really are like a gang but a good kind, a brotherhood. What Roze has been through, I'm surprised that he made it out to be such good dude. I don't really know him but it's what I get from piecing a lot of videos, photos, interviews by him and about him together. He SEEMS to be a stand-up dude and the gang like appearance is more of a family than the bad that most gangs are.

People who just take a quick brushstroke look at him and his crew should give them a chance and look a little deeper. I was taught to look past the cover but I admit that I let what I have seen in life cloud my vision, I looked at their surface and at first thought "typical!" but I payed closer attention and came around pleasantly surprised. I hope they keep their tight little gang together and everyone happy for each other, it's really good to see.

Pretty surprised at how bad they looked tbf. Cavs mocked them both games..JR Smith mocked the hell out of Tatum when he got crossed by Dekker..you figure they would show some more fight but they never showed any interest. Pre season or not the talent level between us and them is pretty significant yet they pretty much played 3 different line ups in 3 different halves and beat us pretty good with all 3..

Very curious to see how they look against Philly in game 1.

Btw Wannamaker is pure trash. Terrible signing..one of the worst PG's we have had on a preseason roster in a long time.

He hasn't had under 40 wins since then!

Oh sure, they're great on paper based on last year's results. Unfortunately, this year they suck on the court.

I can't believe how serious you are taking these preseason games, its embarrassing.

Of all the meaningless preseason games I have ever watched, these last four have been the most meaningless by far. They told us almost nothing. (They barely resembled real life.)
