Chris Porter's Hair wrote:People also easily dismiss that the loss of Lee coincided with the most consistent, stable play of Bogut we had seen to date. I certainly think it would have been a tougher series with Gallinari healthy, but I think our improvement had more to do with the addition of Bogut than the subtraction of Lee.

And for the record, to the initial deal, no. Just no. Almost everyone who pops in here to make a trade offer suggests something that begins with, "The Warriors save money", which is a euphemism for "The Warriors get worse", at a time when we're far more interested in improving than saving money.

Exactly. The warriors get worse. To save some cash. Crazy

And it was our inability to score against them Spurs that best us. We held them below their shooting % we couldn't score enough. I feel we played good enough defensively to win.

Nothing about last season made me view this team as a perennial playoff team.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

THIS. Times a million.

Warriors may be interested in saving money (what team isn't, aside from the Nets?) but will not downgrade to do so.

I mean if you think we are contender in the sense of a perennial playoff team, then yes. But are we a legit threat at winning the Finals, let alone making the Finals? I think everything would have to break right for us to make the FInals. I'd give it a 5% chance. Personally, I think Lee holds us back because of his defense, lack of impact rebounding, and contract. I love his offensive game, but the other parts of his game and his defense hold this team back from becoming a legitimate Finals contender.

How about we see how Bogut does before trashing the team and banking against him, let alone giving up Barnes for the privilege?

And what's the gameplan after we give up a 20-10 guy to save a few bucks (no pun intended)? That doesn't seem like a contender move to me.

Also feels like if we're giving up one of the best offensive big men in the league for an inconsistent player to "create spacing" so that Curry can drive and do more of something he's mediocre at, we're doing it wrong.

I think our strategy shouldn't just be MOAR THREES!

Iggy should be the one driving and kicking if needed.

I think we've got a good balance. Barnes can stretch the floor a bit and I'm not opposed to picking up someone else who can provide some size and hit the outside shot but I'd rather not put all our scoring eggs in one basket.

There were a lot of stretch 4s in this years draft that went undrafted.

Kenny kadjii, ryan kelly - who I think will be a revelation in la, james southerland, kelly olynk, erik murphy, grant jerrett, christian watford, and bennet.

I'd like to see more of erik murphy and possibly grant jerrett.

In what way could Ming 'hit the outside shot'?

Sry got excited. I thought we were typing names of washed up bigs. There was that time Ming hit that wide open 3pt against the Warriors in his rookie season. Just saying corner 3pt artist? Don't knock it...
