What is a fair offer for the TPE Fellow Celtics fans. A first round pick, Second or Money ?

The goal of sports is to win, entertain/entertainment , and make profits/money. You can’t act like it, pretend it doesn’t exist. To wish it away. Teams fire their coaches, make changes to their front office personnel due to lack of winning. If Danny Ainge was on any other team but the Celtics,he would have been fired. Let’s be honest about that. What saved Danny was the KG trade. I believe they would have mutually partied ways if that trade didn’t occur.

Winning, making the playoffs, winning a championship brings in revenue for the team and the league. No one wants to watch and root for a bad product like the Magic, at it Least most people wouldn’t, including me.

What would you have done differently?

Not tanking enough the Smart draft year and missing out on Embiid is the biggest misfire to me.

Scene: 2013 NBA draft

After much speculation, its finally announced that the Celtics have traded Pierce and KG to the Nets. The team hired a new coach and is about to enter a rebuild. Our star PG will likely miss most of the year with a torn ACL. They trade up into the lottery. Rumors are flying that they’re highly interested in this unknown prospect from Greece that Ainge personally scouted and compared to Scottie Pippen. And he **** drafts a 4 year college player.

I will never get over this. We traded up to pick a college senior right as we were about to commence the rebuild.
It I so hard when nobody had him a sure fire player but I too wanted him and I too don't like seniors in the lotto regardless of team status. Burns me too. I get every other move.

You're talking about using batum salary in addition to the exception to bring in more salary?

No instead of the exception trade Hayward to CHA for Batum and a 1st round pick. I honestly don't know how bad Batum is the stats say very bad. But thinking that at some point someone might have to trade a $40 mil dollar player during the season. I may not want that player but being able to put together enough salary with only using two roster spots good be valuable.

Depends on if we take anything back. If we send them Hayward and dont get anything back? We send them a second. If we help them out by taking a contract, depending on the contract, it is a first rounders potentially.

Bucks replaced Bledsoe, Hill, RoLo, and Matthews with Holiday, Augustin, Portis, and Forbes. Not really all that earth-shaking. Miami's max slot still open for next offseason.

Ah. I thought Batum only had 9 mil left. Holy cow look at that number.

Yea your way could work and we get a first for our troubles.

i'd do a pick swap for the TPE -- we give them our 1st rounder next year, they give us their 2nd.

basically we're trading a late 1st for an early second. oftentimes the early 2nd is more valuable because it doesn't come with guaranteed money, so there's more flexibility. but charlotte will want 1st round picks to rebuild.

My concern is that the Sixers "entertained" the idea for us last year too but obviously did not help out.

There is nothing to move on to. It's veteran's minimum signings, Tatum signing his max, and an even more unexpected trade involving a core player. Without the TPE/Hayward S&T, our offseason is done for the most part.

Buhbye Bogdan. We hardly knew ya. Probably couldn't afford ya. Hawks offer sheet for Bogdan likely for a substantial amount.

IINM, this is the first offer sheet for an RFA of the offseason? Hawks are getting him. No way cheapo Kings match.

It depends on what kind of FO CHA has.

If they're being reasonable, a 2nd. Something is better than nothing. It's a 100% free asset for doing what they were going to do anyway.

On the other hand, they could say, "We've already screwed you once, now, you're going to let us do it again. We will turn down that free asset, literally cutting off our own noses just to spite you, if you don't give us even more."

Of course CHA fans are rooting for the latter, unironically calling Ainge a snake while rooting for their FO to be as snakey as humanly possible.

Everyone on this board has seen Kim K have sex. Lol. I am fine with it.
