Ball is the PG and full time ball handler for the Hornets. Rozier would be the PG here not Herro

But Herro fancies himself a kind of PG and jacks up a lot of shots same as the Ball/Rozier dynamic. 2 guys one ball backcourt situations imo very similar to what it would be here if Herro starts instead of Robinson.

Spo has to figure it out with him. I think Herro’s has been doing this out of necessity.

22-4-6 with Lamelo, 25-4-7.5 without Lamelo.

He’s just clearly going through the motions, I’ve watched him quite a bit lately and he’s not near as engaged tonight.

Ish smith looking pretty damn solid though lol

Yep, 26-4 on decent efficiency. Not a single assist lol. I think he’s a bench spark plug for us tbh

If we have thoughts of bringing him off the bench that’s going to cause problems. Rich Paul and Riley conversation on that should be fun.

The problem with Herro at the point in your Herro-Robinson scenario is that he can't dribble and can't create for himself. It's the same issue with the Lowry-Herro backcourt since Lowry can't
create anything, either. Rozier circumvents that problem because he can. It slides Herro into the role he should've had for years -- a Klay-lite.

The less offense Herro needs to create for himself the better. Rozier is a pressure relief valve for this offense. A guy who can create for himself, hit high difficulty shots, creates rim pressure, and can stretch the floor.

Rozier cooking Gobert 1 on 1. Meanwhile Lowry couldn't score on me.

I mean the dude averages 21 PPG on decent efficiency in one of the bottom 3 teams in the league, sometimes when these guys go to a contender they need to be in different roles. Or maybe the same “role” but off the bench.

You have Terry who should be our 1st option in the regular season likely, Herro who is a chucker, Jimmy, Bam, and Bridges in the starting lineup but there’s only 1 ball.

Terry scores and playmakes, Herro and bridges score, who does the little things in that lineup? Are we turning Bam and Jimmy into role players and our 4th and 5th options here?

Murray is more expensive than Jrue. They wanted even cheaper than Jrue. What is the confusion?

Murray is cheaper and they were willing to give up the assets for a Jrue is what he’s saying

Spo has long been a fan of Jrue as well.

Not to mention with his size and defense and not always needing the ball on offense, he's the perfect type of PG you'd want playing next to a SG like Herro.

Murray tonight, 35-10-6 on 50% shooting, 6-10 from 3. Outplayed Fox easily but Kings overall were too much.
