Followed immediately up with a press conference to announce that Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade will be returning next season, along with Lance Stephenson, Pau Gasol, Carmelo Anthony and Isaiah Thomas. ALL DISCOUNTED!!!!!

...I can dream

You don't think Riley has a PLan B.

I would say yes he will sign most of those players. Except Melo lol.

Hindsight is always 20/20. The fact remained that we were paying a guy 10 million to be a cheerleader for the majority of the year. Yes he did make and impact in the Finals and yes he did play 82 games this year, but going into summer last year just about everyone agreed Miller wasn't trending in the right direction. I think many were justified in thinking that Miller would decline much the way Battier did this year. We also believed that with Battier/Lewis/Beasley our wing rotation would be more than good enough. Things didn't turn out as planned obviously.

I didn't support the Mike Miller amnesty, but there were plenty of reasons to justify doing it.

No, there was only 1 reason to do it, and it was to save Arison money. I'm sure Lebron knows it too as we've heard people say how frustrated he was with that move. You don't need Mike? Cool, trade him. Find something better. But he didn't, he decided to line his own pockets at the expense of the team.

How much money do you think Lebron has made Arison (and he Heat) due to his name recognition alone? How many times have the Heat preached sacrifice? How many players have given up money and bought into that? Kinda hard to not be upset at an owner who becomes cheap when the going gets tough, even though he's made much more off of you than the Miller amnesty save him.

Arison is not nearly as rich as some owners in the NBA, and he is under no obligation to throw away money to keep Lebron happy.

Arison is 4th wealthiest owner behind Paul Allen, Mikhail Prokhorov, and Rich DeVos.

If I were RIley right now I would be calling Melo. Asking him to come to Miami. Whether it's to play with Lebron. Or Wade, Bosh, Stephenson etc.

I don't think you were around here when this went down. Pretty much no one, including Lebron said a word about it except we would miss him. He was brought here to be the 4th best player and at a salary that resembled it. I seriously doubt this bothered him that much as they laid out plenty of cash to bring in Allen.

Arison is not nearly as rich as some owners in the NBA, and he is under no obligation to throw away money to keep Lebron happy. You don't pay millions for a cheerleader locker room guy. If Lebron truly feels that entitled then he can go back to the Cavs. They sacrificed money to play together and win titles, not because they were super nice, hated money, or wanted Micky to spend less. In fact Lebron wants his payday now, and justifiably so. Heat are not complaining about it. Neither side has done anything wrong IMO.

No one ever says anything except they will miss the guy when he gets amnestied. What do you expect them to say publicly?

They also didn't lay out "plenty of cash" for Allen. He came pretty cheap.

And Arison is one of the richest owners in the league.

I do agree with you that neither side has done anything wrong. The haters are just turning on Lebron.
Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.

Well I think his family still resides in Boston, isn't his wife a talk show host based in Boston too? So yeah I don't think it matters to him, he will rent some dumpster in Cleveland to live in for 41 games.

I dunno man. I really think he loves Miami. His wife does. She is obsessed with Miami.

If he left you can't blame him though.

Jesus we are going to suck next year. Hahaha.
