NOpe, but he said we basically have someone, and he's frustrated we haven't been able to announce it yet. Mentioned that it was imminent, and that it would probably be a big.

Oh that's great any guesses.

Wish I knew man, every player that is probably going to be available for the buyout isn't amazing. I heard someone mention Gorgui Dieng. I wouldn't mind that.

Guess it’s not Marc Gasol since it’s a buyout.

Muscala would be awesome from a shooting perspective. He def doesn’t solve our rebounding issue though.

My guess is DeAndre Jordan since Morey said that it's going to be a guy that Spike won't like (similar to Drummond).

feel like we need a wing more than a center IMO Reed has been fine

Totally agree. I'm comfortable with the Reed/Millsap/Bassey committee taking a swing at backup C. Our wing depth is just too skinny.

Doc said he wants a center, so we're getting a GD center.

Morey made it sound like a center to me...

Enes Freedom would be who I am hoping for. A true center who can rebound and hit his FTs. I know that is probably not popular though...

Couldn't there be an issue with Korkmaz being on the team and bringing on someone effectively excommunicated from Turkey? If Korkmaz is shown being friendly or anything with Enes he could wind up in trouble in Turkey.

Enes said this before.

I think I’m probably the only person who wouldn’t mind him tbh lol. He can rebound, block shots, and catch lobs (at least historically).

For whatever reason, centers have just looked terrible on the Lakers. Maybe he’ll have something left in the tank.

he also sucks at basketball.

he can't guard in space at all. A simple PNR destroys him....and thats a no go w/ our already weak defenders

Yeah, if we use up a precious buyout spot on “can’t play Kanter” I’m gonna be pissed lol. I’m really hoping it’s Dieng if we’re going with a big.

Gorgui Dieng would be a great pickup but is he really a buy out candidate? Thought the Hawks were waiting for offseason trade

He's happy with the Thybulle/Shake/Korkmaz/Green mess, which is hard to fathom. Go figure.

To be fair, I don't think there's anything out in the buyout market that will make a significant difference. Dragic probably, but we have enough non defenders on this roster.
