What’s our biggest “need”?

Depth at Guard?
Future Assets?
Cap space?

A 3rd string point guard. Brunson and Kolek are the only point guards on the team. The rest of our guys (Hart, Clarkson, McBride) are secondary playmakers.

A lengthier wing than Shamet who you can plug in at the 3 and 4. I'd say Diawara but he won't get minutes this year, and Dadiet is just a bust.

Who’s your ideal target?

Tankathon got the Knicks Kentucky Soph PF Jayden Quantance 6'9" on the 11th pick via simulator. top PG Mikal Brown Jr. (louisville Fr) went at #10.

If you want a TALLer PG, Bennet Stirz of Iowa is 6'4" and went #13.

For teams in iffy cap situations with how the new CBA works, you can argue that trading a later first round pick for multiple second round picks is a good idea.

Couldn't say where that cutoff would be on the first round though. Player value vs salary cap control

Diawara might be better than Ntilikina

Dadiet should be better, but none of us know why he is not progressing

How hard can it be to develop a tall lanky athletic guy that can either cut to the basket or knock down a three, and then defend on the other end?!

Part of me feels frustrated with guys like Shamet and Clarkson because we got a guy like Diawara who is built different than both of them and has a higher ceiling (at least for what the team specifically needs)

Shamet is undersized in most matchups. Clarkson's offensive skillset is not really what the team needs and I don't see him turning into a defender at this point.

Diawara is long, can run and jump, and is willing to just defend and shoot threes. But we are stuck playing politics with flawed vets off the bench!
