What's wrong with Leonard at 15? Athletic 7 footer with good length, only 20 years old.

Good thing Rod Thorn is getting fired. Oops, I mean re-assigned! My guess is the rest of the front office has secret meeting they don't invite him to. Then they get together and give him bad info that he can go spew to the media.

I will be very disappointed if Hawes returns as the starting C again next year. I'm not even that thrilled about him as a backup, but at a reasonable price, you could do worse. Overpaying Lou would not be that great either, but I guess a lot depends on what he's offered on the open market. I could deal with Iguodala returning, but I agree with many who think it is probably best to split up him and Turner.
Ideally, I'd prefer to keep Iguodala from the two, but I think Iguodala holds more value and admittedly, I do have some concerns about Iguodala starting to break down, particularly if he makes the Olympic squad.

If what rod thorn said really happens I'm gonna cry myself to sleep. That would be depressing. Let's hope that the aggressiveness SF is talking about is closer to the truth.

Thorn isn't going to come out and say that none of those guys will be back next year. Especially Iguodala, he isn't going to just come out and say "chances of Iguodala being with us next year are less then 50%." GMs have to say these things.

Eh, I wouldn't take it so seriously one day before the draft. Probably a smoke screen or gamesmanship. Probably trying to get someone to trade up to get Leonard. Could be showing GS that Philly is perfectly happy to keep Iguodala to see if GS will accept lesser terms for #7. Might be telling teams that are planning to make a run at Lou Will in free agency to think twice.

Lots of misinformation gets thrown around at this time of the year.

agree with moe..just dont go on radio day before draft tho and keep your mouth shut. You arent winning fans by stating you want to bring back mediocrity even though you may not be telling the truth.

this is true as well

potential problem in a GSW trade for us is Houston trading 12 and 16 to golden state to get drummond at 7. They are positioned to do that.

Nothing at all. I'd be all for Leonard. He's got a great body for a center, is athletic and can block shots.
People hate on him cause he is white. He is far from Hawes

I think it was more the cry foul on Iguodala, Lou, and Hawes all coming back more so than liking Meyers Leonard. I wouldnt mind Leonard either. Hes really not that much different than Drummond in my opinion(and I love the idea of Drummond). A little shorter arms and a little slower, but hes got a better offensive game right now.

If that's true and they essentially lock themselves into last year's team with a bunch of stupid long term contracts I simply just won't root for the team anymore. I'm all for being loyal but this is f-ing ridiculous. The team has been striving for mediocrity for 10 years now, when am I ever going to get a team that strives to win a championship or offers ANY hope? This current reincarnation is the worst yet, they're essentially saying "8th seed contending forever is our goal". Basketball will be dead to me, completely, I just won't watch, I hope 0 people go the games and the owner loses all the money he invested in the team and has to resell the team in a few years for pennies on the dollar. They're literally killing one of the major sports in Philadelphia with this 8.5th seed mentality.

All I want is some movement.

Get the two things we need from this draft.

There are shooters and athletic bigs available.

Get one of Lamb, Ross, Waiters, or Rivers

Get one of Drummond, Jones, Henson, Leonard, and even though I don't like em Zeller or Moultrie or ever Sullinger(who isn't athletic but could replace what Brand gives us...fine).

They do that and they get a passing grade and I would be hyped for next season. It could be a Ross and Zeller combo (not my favorite one...) and I'd be okay with it.

It would show that they are trying.

If we stay put and take s guy and then re-sign everyone it may not be that bad but it would show that they are scared little punks who don't want to make a move.

If that is the case then they all can go eat a dick.

Tim Kawakami
‏@timkawakami

NBA source on Warriors and Dorell Wright: "They're really trying to move him." Before, during or after the draft? "Whenever they can."

Ugh, they want to get rid of him and according to SF, we would really like him. Make the deal happen already!
