Sure. I think ATL would either take Barrett or trade back. Can't see them want to pair him with Young.starbosa10 wrote:So any teams that would possibly pass on Ja at 2?
I think a handful of teams could end up liking Barrett more if he looks good in workouts. Barrett was a very well thought of prospect and the projected 1 coming into college. He has flaws but he's also very talented.

I think Cleveland and Atlanta would probably take Barrett over him or possibly look to trade the pick if they didn't want him (or someone else like Culver).

And what about the fact that we dropped from 21 wins to 19 wins after replacing Watson/Triano with Kokoskov?
Kidd is a bad coach. Kokoskov is terrible.

Hard to win when our team keeps getting younger. I’d rather keep Koko.

Don’t forget Ryan Anderson, Tyson Chandler and Canaan spent significant time as rotation is players

Also remind me again what our PG rotation was for the majority of the season?

Im willing to give Kokoskov another year. I just don't see what a new coach does for us, and Kokoskov's got a hell of a basketball brain, and checks a lot of boxes in terms of his basketball coaching background and accomplishments. I think the team also started to 'get it' towards the end of year, from March to present.
If we have to fire him the only guy I want is Luke Walton, who learned under Steve Kerr, so he has lineage from the Suns and Spurs coaching tree, which means he can innovate, or at the very least should be able to adapt all the new basketball knowledge and systems to our team which are rapidly being developed.

I’m not an Igor fan. I don’t think it’s fair to fire him and he definitely should not take the blame for the losses, same goes for Watson and Triano.
I think the Suns will keep him around another year. It’ll be such a bad look if they fire another coach.
You have to ask yourself though - is he really the coach you want to have going forward? I don’t know if he is. I also have no idea who would be better fit though. While it’s not fair, I would not be shocked if he was fired. It sucks we go through this every year.

He hasn't proven he's a high level (contender) coach but at the same time he hasn't proven he isn't either. Likewise, we haven't shown we're a high level team either so....it's hard for anyone to say at this point whether he is the coach to take us to contention. I think it's tough to judge this team or this coach based on one season together that's filled with injuries, lack of depth in key positions and also just overall inexperience.

People forget fast how good we were doing until everyone started getting hurt. Warren aside, we probably would have won a few more games if Booker, Johnson, Ayton, and Oubre remain healthy.
We started the season with no PG. Not Igor's fault.
Warren missed 30+ games after being out best 3pt shooter. That hurt our depth. Not Igor's fault.
Many players got hurt / were benched over the last few weeks. Also, not Igor's fault.
We did see improvements from players over the season.
During the exit interviews, I'm sure they will ask all players their take on Igor and if they would like to see him return. If it's a negative response, he'll be gone. If they all liked him, there's no reason to let him go and put another black eye on this franchise.

I think Kokoskov deserves another year. The team was better when Tyler Johnson was added - I will eat crow on that one. He was a better player than I realized. Also Oubre was a good player as well.
Igor deserves a second year with a better balanced rotation. Add a PG and PF - even Rankin mentioned those two positions in his article on AZCentral.
As stated above - with the young roster, no real PF, very young team when you look at the guys who play and their age (go look at the Warriors and Rockets - they are much older teams) - I think we don't know if Igor is a good coach or bad. I say, tweak the roster, get Oubre back, and improvement should follow.

All Worst NBA. Not hard to guess which current suns made the list. Funny I swear some have advocated trading for like half this list plus a bunch of former suns.

I saw that list. Rondo and Rozier - those were listed by Rankin. Gambo loves Rozier
Josh made Sixth man - I think I move Josh and/or FnZ (first round pick not Zion) before Warren. Granted Warren might get more than the others. Unless the Suns get two which is Ja!!

That's brutal for Josh...the whole writeup...but especially this..
No player in NBA history has played that many minutes in a season with worse offensive and defensive ratings.
And then Terry Rozier as next in line after Josh.
But you are right, all the PGs listed were mentioned, half the SGs...none of the SFs, one of the 3 PFs....of course all the Cs were ex Suns....then the last part with Josh and Rozier...and even Tyreke, who I and others had mentioned last offseason was pretty disappointing as well.
