1.Spurs 31-4
2.Warriors 27-6
3.Thunder 26-8
I'm fairly certain we can compete with both teams. We've had the Spurs' number ever since 2012 (we win the 2014 WCF if Serge is healthy imo) and the Warriors have cooled off significantly. We're
2nd in NetRtG
1st in ORtG
4th in DRtG
1st in ORB%
27nd in DRB%
3rd in TS%
since Dec 1. We still have ways to go but I think we'll get there. Compared to our best RS-Season so far (2012/2013), we're
a little bit worse offensively (110.2<=>109.5), although compare to the rest of the league we're better (+7.6<=>6.5)
a little bit worse defensively (100.3<=>99.2) and even worse compared to the rest of the league (-1.2<=>-3.3)
clearly better on the offensive board (26.7%<=>30.4%)
better on the defensive board (75.4%<=>73.4%), although we're just league average (21st in 2015/2016)
a little bit worse shooting-wise (58.0%<=>56.5%)
worse SRS-wise (7.54<=>9.15), although this should have been higher for this season if we had rebounded and defended better these last few games (20-30 point blowouts come down to the wire because of this).
So I'd say we're on track, but we still have to improve in multiple areas:
-I'd still like to see some movement, just to teach the team to not just rely on Russ and KD
-KD becoming more agressive. He needs to take it to the rim more and not settle for outside jumpers. Let's hope he's just not as motivated right now against this weak competition
-Payne improving with the 2nd unit
-No more Waiters. I can't emphasize this enough
-Better defensive rebounding. We've been terrible at it this last few weeks and it has hurt our defense.
-Consistency on the defensive end. I have no idea how we're 8th defensively because we still look really bad at times. Middleton and Walker had driving lanes to the basket and we didn't do anything about it. That has to stop
-More touches for Morrow. He's shown he's a superb shooter and come crunch time we need him to spread the floor, not Dion doing stupid things
That's all I got
